What’s the overall theme / general inspiration behind the 2016/17 outerwear?
By keeping the “Riders on the Storm“ theme from Spring collection, we are introducing a collection of outerwear designed from riders to riders, so they can sustain any storm, be it snow, wind or rain. Rider´s needs was the main focus when we designed the new collection. In order to make sure that no detail will be forgotten, we reinforced closer cooperation with our team riders, they literally became a part of the whole design/development process.

KEY PRODUCT FOCUS: What are the two most important products of your 2016/17 line? Why? Tell us about them please.
The men´s collection is divided into a few segments. For sure, I´d point out the ATP (addicted to powder) line with enhanced functional styles made of light, stretchy 3L and 2L fabrics. With ATP we aim for the customers demanding a high level of functionality with lot of technical details – usually backcountry riding lovers. We are also super stoked about Eiki Helgasson´s  signature models – BAKER jacket and CRONUS pant. Eiki was helping a lot during the development and both styles are the result of our cooperation.

What type of client are you targeting with the collection?
Snowboarders / freeskiers who demand quality, style, function and comfort, be it on slopes or in the town.

Are your price points going up or down?
We kept the retail price level and added a few more styles to price point (5K) segment.

What new fits / silhouettes will you be showing, in pants & jackets?
Actually there nothing revolutionary, we just made few fitting improvements of existing silhouettes in order to improve the rider´s comfort. Pants and jacket sleeves are ergonomically shaped, the jacket body is less narrow so all pads can easily fit in, natural stretch fabrics allowed us to make slim pants with even slimmer knee parts. There are many small details which reflected the “Riders on the Storm“ theme.

What’s new in colours / prints?
We are mostly known for the bright colourful styles and this year won´t be an exception, but the palette of earth tones is getting more space in collection this year. We are excited by washed-effect fabrics, “no signal“ full colour print, which will appear in all segments of HF collection. This will create a sort of sub collection, shaded camo print in combination with a leather-like fabric, many different tones of heather fabrics and last but not least – a beautiful dark denim-like fabric.

What new technical stories are you offering that you haven’t offered the retailers previously?
We are introducing 3L jacket NELSON made of natural stretch UtraTech fabric with 20K/15K parameter. This jacket belong to ATP line, so customers will get the full list of technical detail: YKK AquaGuard zippers, laser-cuted elastic sleeve cuffs, extra long armpit vents,..

BASE LAYER BOX OUT: Do you do baselayers? What’s happening here, what’s your key new offering next year and what makes it great?
Our baselayer collection has increased quite a lot compared to last season. We are introducing Merino wool garments with several warmth and weight for the first time. Besides Merino, we are using fast drying and highly breathable polyester/elastane fabrics with ionic silver, which provides antibacterial and anti-odour function. Customers can choose from plain colour, tie-dyed or crazy printed styles.

What’s the overall theme / general inspiration behind the 2016/17 outerwear?
We are introducing a compact collection of outerwear, designed by girl riders, friends and artists who have contributed to the process of designing, testing and wearing our products for many seasons. This collection is a perfect mix of design and function and that’s what a girl needs outside in the mountains. You can find plenty of colours, cool details on highly functional outerwear jackets and pants mixed with workwear inspired looks. All chosen and approved by girls who ride.

The women´s collection has plenty of cool styles and different levels of functionality. I would point out the ALINA jacket which is the 15k/10k jacket made of lightweight fabric, which is bit stretchy. Alina has full pack of functional details and it’s the top jacket in our collection.
