Now Bindings FW16/17 Preview

KEY PRODUCT FOCUS: What are the two most important products of your 16/17 line? Why? Tell us about them.
Our two most important bindings are the O-Drive and the new Brigade. We design the O-Drive with no target pricing in mind, we wanted to put only the best material and then some so it’s our most expensive and exotic binding of the line up. The Brigade is a new binding model for 2016/17 and it features the SIEVA straps and Hanger 2.0 just to name a few. The Brigade is also part of our line expansion and it gives customers more options to chose from

Brigade Green

What new materials are you using in your bindings?
We are using a new composite material which is Nylon PA 66 with 30% Carbon fibre, this new material is replacing the alumi-ring in the Drive and O-Drive as well as being introduced in the hanger of the O-Drive. The benefit of this new material is that it is lighter than aluminium and stronger than PA 66 filed with glass

What is the dominant colour aesthetic for next year’s bindings?
This year we’ve partnered with Mystery Made, a design firm out of Seattle, the goal was to enrich the visual aspect of the products as well as pointing out our patented Skate Tech on all our bindings.

Price points: Where is your brand going? Higher? Lower?
We are expanding the line again this year in order to offer a better  binding selection, for 2016/17 I would say that our lower end will be similar to last year pricing and our higher, which is the O-DRIVE, will definitely go up in price. With this result, we had to fill some gaps in the line so we are introducing 4 new models; Nexgen, Brigade, Conda and Recon

Any new ideas in buckles, straps, highbacks, bases?
We are introducing a new Carbon HB on the O-DRIVE. The SIEVA straps is worth mentioning as it’s an industry first in strap design and manufacturing and also the new Hanger 2.0 with a wider heel cup and drop down medial wall, now found on the Brigade, Drive by Jeremy Jones and O-drive

Doing any collaborations that shops need to know about?
We have the returning Drive by Jeremy Jones and the Wildcats collaboration, in much anticipation of their new movie with a release date of fall 2016
