How is your boardshorts’ product category evolving when looking back on previous seasons?
We still offer a combination of fixed waists, half elastic waists and full elastic waists. Besides that we offer three different lengths, 16 inch, 19 inch and 21 inch. We have a particular focus on the 16 & 19 inch lengths.
What’s the main focus for summer 2017?
A combination of technical boardshorts and trendy beachshorts. Many of the shorts have a cotton washed look, a trend which we integrated in the shorts. Beside that we also offer our successful beach-shorts, again in a wide range of new colours. Those ones are also never ‘out-of-stock’.
Which colours / patterns have made it into your SS17 pallets?
We are working with two colour palettes; the first group consists of Vermillion and Sangria Red, Electric Blue, Navy, Grey Green, Washed Yellow, Latter, Dijon and Sand Dune.
Our second colour palette group consists of: Bright Scarlet Red, Apple Green, Sky Blue, Stone & Electric Blue and Blue Gas.
Any new fabric features and technical innovations?
We have pre-boardshorts which are all designed in 4-way stretch. Those have fixed waistband in 21 and 19 inch. They have lasercut/ glued seam and reflective details, perfect for surfing. Our noos-beachshorts are also available now in 4-way stretch, melange, quick dry fabric.
Which client demographic are you targeting with your SS17 boardshort collection?
Young adult men who love to get out there and enjoy the waves, the beach, the good life. We also offer boardshorts for the youngsters, we have kids sizes from 104 – 176.
