Interviewee: David Cowan, Marketing Manager
What is THE hot new trend in your goggle line for FW17/18?
Having seen strong sales in our introduction of pretty innovative strap designs this season, we wanted to continue to push the boat out and differentiate ourselves from other brands out there in terms of our whole goggle. This time it’s our frames; think earthy urban styles (such as camel, burgundy, greys) and more vibrant, fast, sporty colours (get ready for neon).
Lenses: What are your most popular tints? Are there any technical innovations to talk about for next season?
Green Chrome and Blue Chrome lenses have continued to sell well this season. For the winter 17/18 we’ll be introducing lenses by Zeiss across all of our goggles, which we are really excited about.
Are you doing spherical or cylindrical or both versions?
We are doing both spherical (our Chief and Jackson models) and cylindrical (our Parker model).
Frames: What system(s) are you working with? Any innovations / new features here?
We will be continuing with our Switchfast Frame system, which allows customers to switch out and change to different straps in a matter of seconds. We have also redesigned our Jackson and Chief models, which will offer a 360 venting system similar to our Parker goggle.
What about the colour and pattern highlights for 17/18? Are they tied to other parts of your range / product offerings?
We want to offer the widest variety of customisable goggles on the market, and our new colours and patterns match this ambition. With the diverse palette of colour schemes that will be available in our frames, coupled with our vast selection of straps and lenses, we hope to offer something for all types of skiers and boarders.
