ISA President Fernando Aguerre Congratulates Paris & Los Angeles For Successful 2024 & 2028 Olympic Bids

It has been announced that the cities of Paris and Los Angeles will be hosting the 2024 and 2028 Olympic Games respectively. This has sparked interest from the ISA due to the IOC’s decision to introduce surfing as an Olympic sport at the 2020 Tokyo games. ISA President, Fernando Aguerre, congratulated both cities on their endeavours.

Press Release: La Jolla, California, August 1, 2017 –  “Following the IOC’s announcement regarding the hosting of the 2024 and 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the International Surfing Association wishes to congratulate the cities of Paris and Los Angeles.

“We are stoked that these amazing cities will host the next two editions and I’m sure they will both be fantastic celebrations of sport that will help the Games and the Olympic Movement enjoy a wonderful and prosperous future.
