West London’s Bay Sixty6 skate park continued its successful monthly Nike SB Girls Night last week which saw over 100 female skaters attend the event to enjoy skate jams, lessons, drinks, workshops and heaps more in an encouraging and social atmosphere. The next girls night will be held on December 1st.
A varied program of activity and entertainment supported the evening and guaranteed a fun and friendly atmosphere for women of all ages and abilities.
The session welcomed skaters from all over the country including European female skater of the year Josie Millard and Nike SB rider Savannah Keegan.
Artists Eloise Dorr, Liisa Chisholm and Sophie Allen gave the park features a facelift with 3 beautiful murals.
For those looking for some down time, the viewing container hosted creative earring making and phone case customisation workshops throughout the night.
Local skate crew Bowl Babes ran prize jams throughout the evening for skaters who showed progressive riding, awarding complete decks, apparel, sticker packs and the recently released Nike SB women’s Bruin, designed from the ground up specifically for the needs of female skaters.
‘Girls Night’ is held on the first Friday of every month and is the perfect setting for established skaters looking to hone their skills with likeminded people and for beginners looking to try skateboarding as an addition to their fitness and social scene.
With free entry and lessons along with all the necessary equipment is available on site.
Make a note in the diary for the next ‘Girl Night’ – 1st of December.
