WSL And The City Of Anglet, France Sign Three-Year Extension On Partnership

The announcement that the World Surf League (WSL) Europe and the city of Anglet, France have agreed on a three-year partnership deal ensures that the Pro Anglet QS event and the exciting Surf de Nuit (night surf) event will continue until at least 2020.

Press Release: LA CHAMBRE D’AMOUR, Anglet – France (Wednesday, November 8, 2017) – World Surf League (WSL) Europe and the city of Anglet are proud to announce their signing an extension of their partnership for three more years, to support the Pro Anglet and Surf de Nuit in 2018, 2019 and 2020.

The Pro Anglet, a men and women’s QS1,500, debuted in 2015 and ran three exceptional editions in great conditions to bring back professional surfing to the french Basque coast.

The Surf de Nuit (literally “night surf”) has been a regular event for the past twenty years in Anglet, and sanctioned as a WSL Specialty Event since this summer. The WSL’s implication opened new doors for this exciting show, bringing the action to an international audience LIVE through the WSL’s digital platforms.
