The Freeride World Tour have announced that Travis Rice will be competing at the fist stop of the 2019 tour in Hakuba, Japan. Having received a wild card for the event he will be adding to an already talented start list.
Lutry, Switzerland – November 29th, 2019 – After blowing minds with his first place finish at the Freeride World Qualifiers (FWQ) 4* in 2017, freeride legend, Travis Rice (USA) will return to Hakuba once again to challenge the world’s best at stop number one of FWT19.
“Really looking forward to competing in Hakuba this January with the best line up of Riders to date and an event venue that provides endless opportunity for expression! Honored to get a wild card, as for me, it’s the perfect way to kick the real winter season off in a place that leaves any free-rider wide eyes and inspired. Most places we say Pray for snow.. Here we will pray for Sun” — Travis Rice
With Rice’s addition to the already extremely talented list of athletes competing in Hakuba, including three time world champion, Sammy Luebke (USA), the riding level promises to be incredibly high at the Freeride World Tour season debut.
