Mons Royale

The Winter Games NZ provided a great opportunity for Wanaka-based merino brand Mons Royale to showcase their unique hometown and surrounding mountains to a global audience. The platform brings together athletes and industry from all over the world for winter sports World Cup events in both Slopestyle and Halfpipe disciplines.

Held at Post Office Lane, Wanaka, VIP guests were treated to a ride to the event in Black Snow branded Audi S5’s and delivered to the invitation only party in style. On entrance, a projection showcased some of Mons Royale’s Kiwi athlete’s video parts, and photographer Bel Jones was there taking snaps against a backdrop of Mons Royale logos and of course – fake snow!

Guests were greeted with complimentary G.H. Mumm Champagne and Corona, as well as authentic Korean BBQ food. Drinks were flowing and resident DJ and local legend PDigsss was spinning the tunes whilst athletes and industry folk alike got on the dancefloor for a boogie!

The Black Snow collection will not only provide exclusive team wear for kiwi Olympic athletes, but all profits from the sale of Black Snow garments will be donated to Snow Sport NZ’s athlete development initiatives to give back to the industry.
