Rock On Surf Anglet May 24-26, 2019

Rock on Surf took place in Anglet from May 24-26, 2019 organised by Sportair and Like That. With over 600 test going out from 20 exhibitors, all levels of surfers were able to put the products to the test.

The city of Anglet hosted the first edition of Rock On Surf, organized by Sportair and Like That. With more than 600 tests of surfboards, wetsuits and accessories this new event was successful despite a very inconstant weather.

The 20 exhibiting brands (Daddy seal, Dakine, Deeply, Fanatic, Flying Wheels Skateboards Co, Hurley, Ion, Ipanema, Laboratoires de Biarritz, Mullet, Napco, Notox, Past Line, Picture, Rt Surfboards, Softlite, Torq Surfboards, Trinity boardsport, Venon surfboards, Voltaway ) met testers, from 5 to 62 years old (most of them from 18 to 24 years old) and helped them to choose the right surfboard, wetsuit or accessories regarding their surfing abilities.

Beginners as well as confirmed surfers were able to take part in free surf sessions organised by Power Surf Center, Romain Laulhé Surf School.

Non-surfers were invited to enjoy sides activities such as : Ipanema Beach Party with Brazilian music and Capoiera dancers, Yoga lessons, skate park.

We celebrated the opening of the event on Friday evening with a cocktail gathering exhibitors, partners and elected representatives including Florence Lasserre David, deputy of 5th district of Pyrénées Atlantiques, Valérie Gavois Lambert, Anglet mayor private secretary and Jean Louis Bourricaud, city councillor.

We were really happy to see young and good surfers visiting this first Rock On Surf edition over the 3 days. You could meet Pauline Ado, Pierre Olivier Coutant (Anglet ambassadors), Mathis Crozon, Zoé Grospiron, Damien Castera and Mathieu Crepel known also for “Odisea” a surf and snowboard experience they share in Alaska.
