CHIEMSEE AG & CO. KG APPOINTES NEW CEO STEFAN BIERGANS

Stefan Biergans will be the new CEO of the fashion and board sports brand Chiemsee AG & Co. KG in Bernau, Germany. Mr Biergans was appointed to the board of directors of Chiemsee’s parent company. Before, he had worked as ‘Global Product Director’ for s.Oliver where he was in charge of the product divisions and responsible for the product performance of the company. Before his employment with s.Oliver, Mr Biergans had worked for the creativity department of Esprit and then became ‘Sourcing Manager’ in charge of the Research & Development department of Esprit Hong Kong Ltd. “The brand Chiemsee will continue to expand internationally. Apart from the successful wholesale business, we will focus on setting up and extending the license, franchise and retail business activities”, the Bernau based company announced. The first self-owned Chiemsee Lifestyle Stores will open in late 2008. “Mr Biergans has international brand know-how and long-time experience in product development, POS management, sourcing and procurement. We will successfully realise our long-term goals under his responsibility”, supervisory board chairman Peter Schmidt said. The previous Chiemsee CEO, Florian Steinberger, has left the company on his own demand. He is managing partner of Sport Invest Search Central Europe GmbH in Holzkirchen, Germany, founded in December 2007.
