The opportunity to highlight all 3 of the central pillars of Everyone on Boards purpose to a wider audience, is incredible. The skateboard community in Waltham Forest is such a positive force and with the opening of the exhibition THEN & NOW and the launch of the supporting book … & NOW , it means we can only get better.”

More info on the supporting book … & Now
Accompanying this exhibition is a community-led publication. The book comprises portraits by legendary skate photographer Wig Worland of the local community involved in the Waltham Forest skate scene from the 80s through to the present generation, taken during 10th anniversary of Lloyd Skatepark. The book portrays the changing faces of the skateboard scene with the aim to inspire the next generation.

“Throughout my life in photography I’ve been lucky enough to work with the extended, ever changing skateboard community in the UK and throughout the world. At its best, skateboarding brings people together and meeting the collection of incredible characters that make up the Lloyd Park Skate community in 2022 is exactly the type of project that illustrates this perfectly.”
– Wig Worland, … & Now photographer

Artists on Boards
10 artists / 10 one-off skateboards in partnership with ‘In Action’ the CIC arm of Clown Skateboard that helped our campaign to raise funds for the first indoor skatepark in Waltham Forest by Pete Fowler Experimental Jetset, Mau Mau, Angry Dan, Simon Brown, Katrina Adams, Fandangoe Kid, Tizer, and Hatch.

“As a resident of Walthamstow, an artist and an ex skater I was more than happy to paint a deck for this brilliant organisation. I skated for a large chunk of my life — the culture of skateboarding, the visual art,
attitude, music, friendship and the outsider aspect, made me who I am today. It makes me very happy to support ‘Artists on Boards’ in whatever positive way I can then that would make me happy.”
— Pete Fowler (about Artists on Boards)
