Hintertux Park Opening – The Snowboard Season is ON!

Winter has finally arrived in the higher regions, and the first snowpark in the Alps has opened its doors: Betterpark Hintertux!

For 21 years, the season opener on the Hintertux Glacier has been a fixed date on the freestyle community’s calendar — and this year was no exception. Riders, industry representatives, media crews, and winter sports enthusiasts once again came together to kick off the new winter season in perfect park and glacier conditions. The result: a true early-season hotspot for the international scene.

Werni’s Transfer Games by Quiksilver, the Rock A Rail Ski & Snowboard Tour 2025 presented by Snowfest, Kids Shred by Gigi, Movie Night, the Canary Cartel Playground Session, plus countless parties and the always buzzing Snowfest Village with Test Area turned the Opening into one for the books!

The anticipation for the upcoming winter was high, and the excitement was palpable among everyone involved — good vibes and happy faces all around. A fantastic season kick-off for the freestyle community, reunited after a long summer break.

Event host Werni Stock summed it up perfectly: Great weather, great snow, awesome park! It’s amazing what the Opening has to offer. Riders from so many countries come to Tux to celebrate the start of the season together. Everyone’s smiling and having the best time. An all-around successful weekend. I’m already looking forward to 2026!”
