Jacket Required Trade Show, London Report & Images

SOURCE headed on down to London’s trendy Brick Lane to take a glimpse at what action sports had to offer the more haute couture fashion retailers at Jacket Required. JR’s simple stall designs have morphed over the years, with the show starting out as a purely clothes rail and bare stall affair, but in the past couple of editions we’ve seen a real transformation with brands taking more control of their displays, doubling up on booth sides and with some of the shows bigger brands now decking out their space with custom builds.

This edition showcased an interesting feature with über Supreme collector Ross Wilson, who has been collecting products from the brand since 1994 and is now selling 1000 items in an innovative retail/exhibition project. Ross had a select few of these 1000 products on display right at the entrance to the space formerly known as the action sports space.

Jacket Required January 2018 welcomed Newquay-based retailer-turn-brand Watershed, who made their debuts alongside Makia, Doughnut and Sweet Skateboards.

Show mainstays Element, Dickies, Santa Cruz, Herschel Supply Co and Globe also featured alongside newer adopters Quik/DC. Images: Harry Mitchell Thompson
