Vans Shop Riot Finals 2019: Amsterdam, October 25-26
The finals of the 11th Vans Shop Riot heads to Amsterdam’s NOORD skatepark over October 25 & 26, 2019. Reigning champions Burnside (from Holland) will be out trying to defend their title from 14 other competing shops. Also, Swedish artist Jacob Ovgren will be hosting an art show on the Friday evening.

Vans Shop Riot Descends on Amsterdam, Netherlands on October 25 & 26 for the 2019 Finals.
An Original Series dedicated to skate shops and their teams
After last year’s momentous 10-year anniversary, Vans Shop Riot is back for its 11th consecutive year. Every year since 2008, the original concept by Vans has been promoting Europe’s finest street skaters, in addition to offering the European skateboard community and skate shops an authentic platform for recognition. This year the series finale will come to a dramatic close in Amsterdam’s NOORD skatepark, Netherlands on October 25 and 26, to determine who will be crowned the 2019 Vans Shop Riot Champions.
Over the past four months, Vans Shop Riot has made its way across Europe, stopping in 15 different countries for the regional qualifiers – victorious shops include last year’s winners and two-time champions Burnside, Netherlands and 2017 champions Skate Boutique, Belgium. They will join 13 other hungry skate shop teams competing for a total prize purse of €15,000.
Vans Shop Riot finalists will compete across two different disciplines, Mini Ramp and Skatepark format. The highest total accumulated points across both disciplines will determine the top-ranked shop team, crowning them champions.
For the past couple of years Vans have partnered with a respected artist with deep skate ties on the creative execution. This year Vans have teamed up with Swedish artist, Jacob Ovgren. One of the artists behind Polar Skate Co.’s iconic graphics, Jacob’s unique cartoon artwork is instantly recognisable within the skate world and an amazing fit for the Vans Shop Riot concept. Jacob will be hosting an art show at Klaproos Restaurant on October 25.
