Dragon’s Methodical Madness 2018

The fifth annual edition of Dragon’s Methodical Madness wrapped up things at 2018’s Snowboard Spring Break Kaunertal, Austria, marking the end of the season. As is tradition, riders from all over the UK competed to throw the highest, oldest or most impressive Method! The Snowboarding Spring Break has become the ‘must go’ event of the UK snowboard calendar, and brings together retailers, brands, media, industry, pros and the snowboarding public for a week of shredding.

Press Release: Blue skies and summer temperatures ensured that @Dragoneurope’s Methodical Madness, hosted at the UK’s @snowboardspringbreak in Kaunertal and now in it’s 5th incarnation, went down as the best yet!

Supported by Monster and Stance and hosted by Dragon rider Will Smith, who has been with Dragon for 10 years, the €1000 prize pot found it’s way split between a bunch of snowboarder’s all chasing one of the oldest, but hardest tricks in the snowboarding book, the Method! There were plenty of prizes to go round (highest method, oldest method, switch method etc) with the overall winner receiving a hand painted deck by Will, once again it was snowboarding nomad Lewis Sonvico who found the height, consistency and of course the critical element, style, in taking the win. But as this edit shows, snowboarding was the real winner!
