Lightning Bolt Continue 50th Anniversary Celebrations With ‘Lightning Bolt Festival’

Lightning Bolt are continuing their 50th anniversary celebrations by partnering with Las Américas Surf Pro for the ‘Lightning Bolt Festival‘, taking place between November 27 and December 5.

Press Release:
LIGHTNING BOLT FESTIVAL

Lightning Bolt joins Las Américas Surf Pro for a unique event between November 27 and December 5, in Tenerife, Canary Islands.

As a core message, the brand will insist on spreading the iconic statement “Destroy the waves not the beaches”, since besides surf, the event has a big focus on environmental protection and sustainability.

With different activities focused on sharing Lightning Bolt’s legacy and protecting the environment – the complete schedule will be released in the coming weeks -, one of the great moments of the event will be the surfing championship named Lightning Bolt Festival.

“We are thrilled to be the first championship for retro single and twin fins of Las Américas Surf Pro history”, declares Sandra Gonçalves.

The championship is open to all ages, really embracing all the Bolt enthusiasts and friends.

The brand will award the first, second and third places of each category with Lightning Bolt Eco Surfboards, which have a “Gold Level” seal awarded by the Ecoboard Project and are manufactured by our partner Surfactory.

These ecoboards have a 70% lower impact on the environment and a 45% lower resin consumption/waste, but the same technical performance as any other.

“We feel the responsibility of being a global brand, with a strong and impacting core message: surf is a lifestyle that pushes physical and mental development and allows a deeper connection with the natural elements that surround us. Our purpose is to keep building a community, and awareness towards sustainability.”
