There’s only a few hours to go before the Orange County Convention Center opens its doors to 2022’s Surf Expo, where over 600 exhibitors put their latest product offerings on display for potential buyers.
Surf Expo Prepares for a Blockbuster Show in Orlando This Week
Surf Expo, the premier watersports and coastal lifestyle tradeshow, kicks off Thursday at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando with an exciting roster of brands, retail buyers, educational opportunities, and new events.
“We are thrilled with the extensive list of brands and retailers who are attending the show this week,” said Surf Expo Senior Vice President Roy Turner. “We are creating an optimum environment for brands and retailers to conduct business, while also providing plenty of opportunities for the social interactions that are so important for building lasting business relationships.”
Over 600 exhibitors are participating, including 165 that are new to the September show. Notable brands and companies that are attending include Billabong, Huk, Jetty, Katin, Manhattan Beachwear, Marine Layer, Old Guys Rule, O’Neill, Puffin Coolers, Quiksilver, Roxy, RVCA, Salty Crew, Sperry, Tahe Outdoors, Tommy Bahama, Tori Richard, Vissla, Volcom and YETI. Retail buyers from a wide range of key accounts will also be out in force including Dillard’s Department Stores, Hawaiian Island Creations, Hi-Tech Surf Sports, Palmetto Moon, Ritz Carlton Properties, Sandals Resorts International, Sun Diego, The House, Tyler’s, Zumiez and many more.
Attendees should also mark their calendars for some key events including a keynote address by Shaun Tomson at 8 a.m. Friday. Tomson, a world champion surfer, author, entrepreneur and acclaimed speaker, will discuss “Transformation After Disruption – The Code to Ride the Next Wave.”
Other events include the Surf Expo Industry Party presented by Body Glove at 6 p.m. Friday, many brand-sponsored happy hours, free educational seminars, and multiple fashion shows. See the full list of events here.
