AMPLID UNVEILS THE “GREEN PASS KIT™” – A RADICAL SOLUTION TO AIRLINE BAGGAGE HASSLES

Amplid, the boundary-pushing snowboard brand known for its forward-thinking R&D and unconventional creativity, has  announced today on April 1st its most unexpected innovation to date: the Green Pass Kit™, a snowboard travel system cleverly disguised as high-end golf equipment.

The kit is being positioned as the ultimate solution to snowboarders’ most frustrating first-world problem: airline baggage fees.

“The Green Pass Kit™ is designed to help our riders travel smarter,” says Amplid founder Peter Bauer. “For years, we’ve watched golfers glide through check-in with zero hassle while snowboarders get hit with excess baggage fees and suspicious side-eyes. We thought, ‘Why fight the system when you can join it?’”

The product drop includes a wheeled GolfPro+ snowboard bag, a classic Amplid Performance Polo, and a glacier-sun-visor-meets-golf-accessory called the SunShield Visor. Each piece is styled in Amplid’s signature black-and-white minimalism — with just enough country club flair to pass unnoticed at any airport baggage drop, to check in the quiver for free.

The GolfPro+ Bag, the centerpiece of the system, fits four boards up to 166cm and features premium padding, hidden stash pockets, skateboard wheels and a boldly embroidered “St. Moritz Golf & Lodge” crest. While the size may raise eyebrows for more traditional golf bags, the team at Amplid has done its research.

“We know it’s a stretch — literally,” says Gregor Common, Amplid’s Global Sales Manager. “But let’s be honest, no one wants to argue with someone in a polo shirt and a calm smile. Golfers are untouchable. With this kit, snowboarders get to travel with that same aura of trust and prestige.”

Though the company has not confirmed production numbers, Amplid says the Green Pass Kit™ will be available for a limited time through their online store, and can also be ordered by all Amplid retailers from today. Whether it will become part of the permanent product range remains to be seen.

What’s in the Kit?

The Amplid Green Pass Kit™ includes everything a snowboarder needs to blend in and board out:

  • GolfPro+ Snowboard Bag – A fully padded, wheeled snowboard bag that looks exactly like a deluxe golf carrier. Features embroidered country club logo (St. Moritz Golf & Lodge) for maximum credibility. Yes, it’s a bit longer than your average golf bag — it fits boards up to 166cm — but golfers are always trusted. Airline agents won’t blink. The ground staff will check it in with a smile and maybe even offer you swing tips.
  • Amplid Performance Polo – Breathable, stretch-knit shirt with hidden sleeping hood and boarding pass pocket. Also makes you look extremely respectable.
  • SunShield Visor – Protects your eyes, reflects glacier glare, and lets everyone at the check-in know you mean business on the greens (or groomers) when checking in.

Early reports from testers (and one anonymous Geneva Airport staffer) confirm: the disguise works. TRAVEL HACKS Magazine has recently decorated this money-saving invention with the reknown “Most Innovative Travel Bag 2025” award.
