Jones Split Together Trip

Fourteen dealers, distributors, riders and journalists; two Nideckers and Mr Jeremy Jones himself arrived at a lodge perched at 2100m in the depths of Austria’s Krippenstein region. The goal of the trip was for a tight crew to try the new Jones splitboard line, and to hit up some primo backcountry blower with like-minded folks. Images & words by Tom Wilson-North, unless stated.

And the Eastern Austrian Alps certainly delivered. After a night of getting to know each other – and the line – a bit better, the team headed out and up, up, up through the stunning karst landscape to the Gjaidstein Umrundung circuit. After a long day and some great turns, the team made it back to the lodge at nightfall.

Day two saw the group hit up some sidecountry on the frontside of the resort, with faceshots and sidehits galore.

“I was so stoked to be invited to the Jones Split Together trip to Krippenstein,” said Jones Team rider Daniela Hochmuth. “It was a meeting of kindred spirits in a beautiful place which gave everyone a glut of much-needed fresh air before the tradeshow season kicks off.”

Jones Split Together is set to be a regular occurrence in the European snowboarding calendar, sharing the stoke between shops, team riders and distributors as this well-defined, well-received and successful brand grows further.
