Prowinter Bolzano Italy 11-13 January review
Prowinter 2026 closed on 13 January with good results, confirming its growing international reach and its role as a European hub for outdoor and winter sports. Over three days, Fiera Bolzano welcomed 5,400 visitors from 35 countries, marking another step in the fair’s steady development. The event is recognised as a dynamic, practical and strategic platform for the entire winter mountain supply chain, thanks to a format that integrates exhibition spaces, on‑snow testing, training opportunities and extensive networking.
The 2026 edition recorded significant growth on the exhibitor front, hosting 230 companies and 400 brands, 30% of which were international. Visitor data also confirmed a positive trend, with strong participation from retailers, rental operators, buyers and professionals from Italy, Germany, Austria, Scandinavia, the Benelux region and Eastern Europe.
A major innovation this year was the introduction of a new pavilion dedicated entirely to the outdoor sector, featuring the debut of the Scandinavian Village alongside the Italian Outdoor Village. Ninety exhibitors, many represented directly by their headquarters or European teams, reinforced the fair’s role as a key meeting place for industry decision‑makers. This expansion strengthens Prowinter’s standing as a key reference for winter sports and outdoor‑related business.
The Prowinter Test Days powered by ITASNOW and the Prove Libere Retail by Pool Sci Italia also received good feedback. Held on the slopes of Carezza, they offered professionals the chance to test the latest piste ski innovations for the 2026/2027 season Sustainability played a central role, highlighted by the Winter Sports Sustainability Network Meeting, the Ski Industry Climate Summit and the introduction of an ESG‑based criterion in the Prowinter Award.
