What is your assessment of the 2025 business: new impetus, cleared old stocks, sounder growth, better quality products?
The 2025 season shows a much healthier and more sustainable market environment for the SUP industry. Excess inventory from previous years has largely been cleared, allowing brands and retailers to focus again on innovation, quality, and profitability instead of discount-driven sales. Consumer demand remains solid, especially in the recreational and family segments, while customers are increasingly looking for durable products with better materials, cleaner designs, and strong after-sales support. Overall, the market is moving toward more stable and qualitative growth.
Do you favor segmented distribution channels? (entry-level allrounders via online D2C and sports chain stores, advanced models for core retailers?)
Yes, we strongly believe in a segmented distribution strategy. Entry-level and recreational products work well through online channels and large sports retailers, where accessibility and price transparency are important. At the same time, advanced and premium models benefit greatly from specialized core retailers who can provide expert advice, technical explanations, demos, and customer service. This differentiation helps protect brand value while ensuring every customer finds the right product through the appropriate channel.
Which are your key inflatable models for 2026 in the Allround/Cruising segments?
For 2026, our focus remains on versatile allround and touring-oriented inflatable SUPs that combine stability, glide, and lightweight construction. Key models include our updated allround family boards for beginners and recreational paddlers, as well as longer cruising models designed for fitness paddling and day touring. We are especially emphasizing lighter constructions, improved stiffness through optimized drop-stitch technology, and complete premium accessory packages.
Which Specialty iSUPs are growing/decreasing in 2026? (Race & Flatwater, River, Fishing, SUP-Kayak, SUP surfing…)
The strongest growth continues to come from multifunctional categories such Family-oriented and fitness-oriented SUPs. Fishing SUPs maintain stable niche demand in specific markets. Pure race boards and highly specialized performance shapes remain more limited and are growing at a slower pace, as the broader market currently prioritizes accessibility and fun over competition-focused products.
Is innovation stalling or did the SUP reach maturity regarding designs and constructions?
The SUP market has definitely reached a more mature phase, but innovation is far from stalling. Instead of radical shape changes every season, innovation is now focused on meaningful improvements in materials, construction technologies, sustainability, portability, and user experience. Customers increasingly appreciate lightweight constructions, compact packing solutions, welded rails, and durable premium materials rather than marketing-driven complexity. The industry is evolving toward smarter and more refined products.
How can you help retailers make a difference when most SUPs are at a click’s range online?
Retailers remain essential because customers still value expertise, service, and real product experiences. We support our retail partners with strong product training, attractive POS materials, demo opportunities, digital assets, and reliable after-sales service. Specialized retailers can create a significant advantage through personal consultation, local community engagement, test events, and premium customer support.
