Indiana Foiling S/S 2026 Preview

Retail Buyers Guide:  Foiling S/S 2026
Brand:  Indiana
Interviewee: Niki Dietrich (head of sales)

How was the 2024 market?
The ongoing trend towards foiling helped us to gain market share. He have receive a lot of positive feedback and very good test results for our foils and foil-board collection, that showed us,that we are moving in the right direction in a very competitive market.

How are stock levels compared to a year ago?
We were able to reduce our stock levels by running different sales campaings and are on a lower level than last year. Stock level is and will be a big challenge for every brand: to be successful you need to offer a wide and deep range of products which automatically is increasing the stock risk. A good demand planning is more important than ever.

What sport is driving the most demand at the moment (kite, wind, wing, surf…) and why?
In two categories we see the most potential: Wing foil and pump foil.  Many windsurfes change to wing foil as they have more “gliding-” or “flying-”days. Pump foil is not depend on wind or waves. You only need a dock or pier and water so you can pump theoretically every day.

Foils

Which of your 2025 foil set ups have sold best and why?
Our “HP” (High Performance)-foil collection sold the best as it has a fair price level for a high-end product.

What are the main trends in foil construction, materials and design?
Our target is still to design sporty products, that are forgiving, predictable and therefore easy to ride. We see a trend in products with a wider range of use; in lightweight (carbon); in durability/longevity and a maxiumum of compatibility. All this you find in our product offer.

What are the highlights of your 2026 foil offer?
Our highlight will be our “Monobloc” foils, which are our most streamlined and stiffest foil products. We have lauched them in 2025 and will expand the offer in 2026 by adding new frontwings (e.g. the Barracuda L+) new “Stabilizer-Tails” (the fuselage-tail and stabi are one part) and faster masts  (the Hyperdrive UHM in 76, 86, 96 cm).

Foilboards

Which of your 2025 foil boards have sold best and why?
From our different foil board categories, we do not really have a outstanding “best selling” category. Nevertheless, we see the biggest growth in our compact mid length boards: our “Super Fly CML” collection. In addition to the wingfoil boards, we are recording very good and growing sales figures in the pump foil segment. In pump foiling we invest a lot as we see a bright future for this sport.

What are the main trends in Foilboard construction, materials and design?
In wingfoiling we see a trend to more narrow and longer boards, the compact mid length boards This boards accelerate faster and start earlier to detach from the water surface (e.g. our “Super Fly” or ”Early Bird” boards)

What are the highlights of your 2026 foilboard offer?
We have launche new board collections in 2025 (“Flow Freewave”, “Super Fly”, “Early Birds”, “Sweet Stick”), that will remain the same in 2026.  Also all our successful pump boards will not change. The highlight in 2026 will be a new designed “Allround / Flatwater” board range. Be curious!

How will you support retailers to sell your 2026 products?
We are offering dropshipment without any extra costs, which is reducing the stock risk for the retailer and opens the possibility for selling a wider range of products. Also we are providing an .xls-link with all datas and infos a retailer need to fill up his online-shop fast and easy. Also the product availability can be downloaded every day.
