Levitaz Foiling S/S 2026 Preview

Retail Buyers Guide:  Foiling S/S 2026
Brand:  Levitaz
Interviewee: Michael Zeilinger, Product Manager

How was the 2024 market?
2024 was a year of consolidation and refocus. While some disciplines saw stagnation in volume, the performance segment – especially kite and wing racing – experienced solid growth. Demand clearly shifted toward high-end, well-positioned products for ambitious riders.

How are stock levels compared to a year ago?
For foils, we keep stock intentionally lean yet stable. Thanks to our in-house foil production, we can manufacture on demand with safety buffers, ensuring shortest delivery times without compromising quality. For boards, stock is more targeted than in 2023. We focus on fast sell-through, close feedback loops, and accurate inventory alignment.

What sport is driving the most demand at the moment (kite, wind, wing, surf…) and why?
Wing foiling is currently driving the most momentum, especially in the performance and racing space. The discipline has matured quickly and now attracts riders seeking efficiency, control, and speed. Kite racing is also gaining ground thanks to Olympic buzz and strong youth development programs.

Foils

Which of your 2025 foil set ups have sold best and why?
Our clear bestsellers are the R6 Race Series variants – depending on the application, either the R6 V1 for kite racing or the R6 V2 for wing racing. Both deliver maximum stiffness, ultra-low drag, and surgical precision, making them the go-to choice for professional racers worldwide.

What are the main trends in foil construction, materials and design?
We see a shift toward ultra high modulus carbon, modular systems, and longer spans with reduced drag. Internally cored wings, titanium connections, and advanced lamination plans are setting new benchmarks. At the same time, the freeride segment is growing with a demand for plug-and-play performance and lightweight usability.

What are the highlights of your 2026 foil offer?
In 2026, we’ll launch a brand-new Freeride Series platform. The system is based on our successful Race Series and built to perform – clean design meets race-driven DNA.

Foilboards

Which of your 2025 foil boards have sold best and why?
In wing racing, the Boom RS 58 clearly leads – its ultra-compact shape, stiff carbon construction, and optimized control under pressure make it the top choice for competitive riders.
For kite freeride, the Exo 5 stands out thanks to its playful handling, early lift, and clean, lightweight build – ideal for versatile everyday sessions. In freeride winging, the Boom 75 has proven to be a favorite among intermediates and advanced riders seeking a compact, responsive board with excellent planing and carving ability.

What are the main trends in foilboard construction, materials and design?
Stiffness, volume optimization, and direct response are the key design drivers. We’re seeing more monocoque carbon shells with foam cores and shapes that reduce underwater drag. The design language is moving toward midlenght boards with higher volume and a clean, minimal look.

What are the highlights of your 2026 foilboard offer?
For our new freeride foil range, we’re launching matching board shapes around 80L – ultra-compact, lightweight, and tuned for both wing and kite foiling. In the racing segment, we operate with short product cycles to keep pace with the sport’s rapid evolution. In 2026, we’ll release the next generation of our Boom RS boards, along with new shapes in the Raze series – developed in close cooperation with our top riders for maximum control, speed, and precision on the racecourse. Designed in-house and handmade in Portugal, they feature premium XPS/carbon construction, precise handling, and timeless aesthetics. Built for progression and everyday performance, without compromise.

Any noteworthy efforts towards sustainability?
Yes. We focus on product longevity, reduced complexity, and fewer product cycles. Our production in Europe significantly reduces transport emissions. We’re switching to recyclable packaging and work exclusively with long-term production partners that follow strict environmental standards.

How will you support retailers to sell your 2026 products?
We provide high-end content, tech explainers, storytelling, and sales guides tailored to each target group. On top: product training, demo units, and a clear modular product system that makes cross- and upselling intuitive. We make performance easy to sell. In 2026, we’re also launching our new Freeride Series in close partnership with selected Levitaz Performance Centers – acting as flagship stores and exclusive test centers. These centers will receive first-hand product access, priority support, and deep integration into our development and marketing efforts. Interested retailers are welcome to apply to become a Levitaz Performance Center and join the next stage of our brand journey.
