How was the 2024 market?
2024 was a very interesting year for us with the Olympics where most of the top riders where wearing WIP equipments, and on the other side the development of Wing and Down Wind Stand up paddle
How are stock levels compared to a year ago?
With new products this year, especially on the Surf Range, we are in the same dynamic as the previous year
What sport is driving the most demand at the moment (kite, wind, wing, surf…) and why?
Wing Foiling is clearly growing because the riders are pushing more the limits of speed and freestyle. The rules are also evolving and we can say that the mind set of the riders from the beginners to the best riders, like we could see in Ski or in skate board few years ago, wearing protections is becoming “a must have” in Board sports. We work on specific equipments for every disciplines and every needs. We are developing with a close relation with our athletes and listen all the feed backs. We follow the water sports evolution.
Any noteworthy efforts towards sustainability?
From the beginning of the WIP adventure, we always have in mind that we are all actors of the protection of our playgrounds. We are proud member of the 1% for the planet program and support associations as Surfrider Foundation and Sea sheaperd. We also work on the materials like Eco Cork and recyclable products. The other thing is about shipments, we optimize the processes with the pre orders and promote boat transport.
How will you support retailers to sell your 2026 products?
We believe in a team work, sharing the power of every actors : riders, retailers, events… Communication is a key and we include retailers not only for sales but also in the development, the strategy and our communication on social medias and events.
