Retail Buyers Guide:  Wings S/S 2026 Retail Buyer’s Guide
Brand:  Armstrong
Interviewee: Marketing Team

How was the 2024 market?
2024 was another strong year for wing foiling. Growth came both from existing riders moving into intermediate and advanced stages, and from a fresh wave of newcomers crossing over from sports like surfing, kiteboarding, and snowboarding. This mix has driven demand for high-performance gear that’s durable and capable of taking riders from their first sessions to advanced skills without needing a full gear swap.

Main trends in wing construction, materials, and design?
We don’t chase trends, our focus remains on creating wings that are built for the long run. Features in our A-Wing XPS Mk II like our Cross Panel Sail Design maintain canopy shape and lifespan, while the Dyna-Link handle system offers the choice between carbon handles or a carbon boom. This versatility, combined with stable, efficient shaping, means the same wing can win world titles and still be the right choice for a rider’s first sessions.

Which customer profile is driving demand?
We see strong demand from intermediate riders who have moved past the basics and now want to jump, carve, and go further while keeping the same base setup. That’s why we design and build every product line for progression, with modular wings and foils and durable construction that keeps performance consistent.

Best-selling 2025 wings and why?
The A-Wing XPS Mk II has become our most popular wing worldwide, shaped by rider feedback, years of refinement, and real-world testing in every condition. We keep our lineup tight with one wing model because we only update it when there’s a genuine step forward to make. It’s the one wing that does it all. From waves to racing to freestyle, it covers almost any condition, where the rider you only needs to choose the wing size.

Noteworthy efforts toward sustainability?
We design for longevity with the use of premium materials and construction for real-world use. The Armstrong design approach is to find the balance where elite meets easy so riders can go from beginner to advanced with minimal changes to their kit.  We also avoid seasonal graphic updates that force turnover. This lets retailers carry over stock without pressure to clear inventory, supports a healthy secondhand market, and reduces waste from unsold gear.

How will retailers be supported with S/S 2026?
Retailers can expect:

  • Updated product display systems
  • Product Education
  • Access to our rider’s knowledge
  • Video-rich digital content kits – including access to film projects
  • Simplified sizing charts
