What are the current industry trends in women’s swimwear?

  • Gym to swim bra : sportswear inspired tops.
  • Importance of swimsuits with internal support, to wear as a bodysuit underneath a summeroutfit.
  • Sexiness in all shapes and sizes.

What style/shape of swimwear is most popular in your current range?
The shaping and sculpting one pieces remain the most popular. The new S26 collection offers new prints and designs of these popular pieces. Each piece features a great fit that flatters every silhouette, with a stunning array of coordinated colors and patterns that allow you to express your unique personality.

What have been the major inspirations behind the designs in the 2026 range?
The overarching theme of the collection is the ‘BARTS Slow Sunday Club’. The designs are inspired by a slow Sunday at the beach and the various moments throughout the day. A morning coffee, a little siesta or a sunset. This inspiration is reflected in the colours and patterns, which capture the essence of these tranquil moments.

What colour palettes and prints will we find in your 2026 range? Any crossovers from other brand product categories?
As mentioned earlier, the colours and prints are inspired by a slow Sunday at the beach. The collection features prints that evoke various natural elements. Foliage, earthy geometrics, minimalist florals, soft animal prints, swirls and stripes. All complementing the various moments at the beach club and beyond. Standout colours include:

  • Bright Camelia, an eyecatching colour, Inspired by digital brights.
  • Dark tones : timeless and sophisticated, paired in the S26 collection with vibrant blue-lilac and a spark of peachy pink, reminiscent of evening skies.
The BARTS collection, covering swimwear, beachwear, bags and headwear, is fully coordinated. Each product group is designed within the same colour families, allowing everything to be mixed and matched to complete your look.

What silhouettes are you featuring in your 2026 collection? Any construction techniques you’d like to highlight?

  • New Plunge Shaping -Shaping one piece is one of our bestsellers for several seasons, now we added a extra version which is more sexy, with high leg and cheeky bum.
  • High Support Top – trend for tops is to have sportbra-like shapes as swimwear tops. This new top in the Barts collection has a sportwear outlook and high support fitting.
  • Cheeky High Waist – High waist shapes are trend. We added a sexy one which covers the belly area but emphasises on bum (cheeky) and leg (high).

What materials are you using in your 2026 collection?
The S26 women’s collection features a blend of fabrics that are both durable and comfortable, carefully selected to complement each design and enhance the overall shaping of the pieces. The majority of the swimwear is made from recycled polyamide or polyester, combined with elastane to make the items comfortable and durable. Our beachwear items are primarily crafted from straw, paper and cotton. Materials chosen not only to suit the aesthetic of the collection but also for their durability and sustainability.

What efforts are you making towards sustainability?
Most import for our approach is the use of recycled fabrics, which are the foundation of many of our swimwear pieces. These materials often originate from pre- and post-consumer waste, such as plastic bottles and fishing nets, giving new life to resources that would otherwise end up in landfills or oceans. Beyond the fabrics themselves, we also focus on sustainable packaging. We ensuring that our packaging materials are recyclable and minimal. Our sustainability efforts extend into our supply chain as well. We take great care in partnering with reliable and responsible suppliers who share our values. These partnerships are built on transparency, fair working conditions, and shared innovation in reducing environmental impact.

What are your marketing stories for your 2026 collection?
The main theme, ‘BARTS Slow Sunday Club’, is divided into four different subthemes. Dawn, Café, Siesta and Dusk. Each theme features its own unique colour palette and design elements. Throughout the season, we will focus on each theme for a dedicated period. These themes are woven into our social media activities and our webstore during the season.

How will you support retailers to sell this category?
The collection is designed to be as complete as possible, with swimwear and accesoiries thoughtfully coordinated to complement eachother. By using consistent prints, matching colours, and a unified style, each item work seamlessly together to create a cohesive look. Retailers also benefit from flexible re-ordering options throughout the season. The items are delivered quickly from our in-house warehouse which let’s retailers adapt to sales performance and customer demand during the season.
