Were the level orders for SS25 boardshorts good?
Yes, we’ve seen strong success in the boardshort category, with significant year-over-year growth. Brand awareness is definitely increasing, and our boardshorts are being recognised as some of the best-performing and most durable in the market.

Do you carry over staple pieces over the years?
Yes, the majority of the range consists of carryover staple pieces, with new colourways introduced seasonally to refresh the best-performing styles.

What are the main design trends of SS26 for (surfing) boardshorts? (cuts, lengths, special features, closing systems…)
Florence Boardshorts are primarily designed for high-performance water activities and built with durability, stretch, and quick-dry capabilities. We use Cordura® fabric for abrasion resistance and Airtex technology for maximum airflow and to release water. 4-way stretch and quick dry fabric, enables shorts to be functional and comfortable both in and out of the water.. Stand out design features are scalloped hems & triple needle construction for improved movement, side zip pockets to fit most smartphones, locker loops for drying and key cord loops on select styles.

Main focus is that the shorts are are built for versatile use, from trail to surf with breathability, durability, and storage in mind. Materials used include Cordura®, Nylon, Recycled blends and hemp. Cordura® fabric with 4-way stretch offers durability and functional design. Stand out design features are perforations for airflow, tactical pockets and liner options, integrated waistband belts or Cordloc® drawcords, key cord loops, reflective branding and locker loops for drying. They are also available in a shorter length than the boardshorts: 17.5” – 18.5” outseam.

A durable, all-terrain Cordura® short designed for flexibility and rugged utility. It features 4-way stretch, a quick dry finish, and is water repellent. The size scale is S-XXL, with the start date being individual to each SKU. The shorts are made with 4-way stretch Cordura® for abrasion resistance and flexibility, an elastic waistband with a Cordloc® drawcord, and a 17.5″ outseam for coverage and mobility. They have front slash pockets, a zippered back welt pocket, and a yellow utility locker loop for easy drying and longevity. The fabric has a C0 DWR finish and triple-needle construction. The product is bluesign® certified. The material makeup is 89.8% Recycled Cordura® and 10.2% Elastane.

A high-performance boardshort built for maximum in-water output with stretch and ventilation. It features 4-way stretch, is quick dry, and breathable. The size scale is 24-38, with a start date of 3/15/26. The specs and benefits include 4-way stretch fabric for unrestricted motion, Airtex side panels that increase airflow and water release, and an 18.5″ outseam that falls above the knee for an active range. The boardshorts have a scalloped hem for enhanced mobility, a covert side zip pocket that fits most smartphones, and a quick-dry construction with a C0 DWR finish. They also include a yellow utility locker loop for easy drying and longevity and are made with bluesign® certified materials. The material makeup of the body is 80% Recycled Polyester / 20% Elastane, and the panels are Airtex (90% Polyester / 10% Elastane).
