How was demand in the sunscreen market in 2024?
We saw an uptick in demand and interest in sunscreen specifically for outdoor use as consumers become more aware of the need to protect their skin when doing sport. We’re particularly connected to the winter market so it’s always great to see sales sustained during this time, with more and more winter sports lovers stocking up on sunscreen at the start of the season.
What are the new trends in sunscreen?
We service one of them, for sure. Sunscreen for specific niches, brands building sunscreen into daily use. No longer is it a one-size-fits-all, consumers are looking for UV protection that fits into their lives and routines. For us it’s designing products that suit the demands of the outdoor sports lover – removing strong perfumes, chemicals that sting they eyes when sweating, taking the needs of the end user and building it into the product experience.
Please tell us about your innovations for 2025.
For 2025 we’re working on relaunching out SPF 30 product. Incorporating feedback from our customers whilst staying true to our commitment to sustainability, we’re adapting the formulation and packaging to improve overall user experience – watch this space.
What are the main ingredients you are using and how do you address sustainability/eco friendliness in your products?
We are a mineral sunscreen brand meaning we choose physical UV filters, over chemical. This does create a unique user experience that is for some but not for others. We’re lucky, however, to be in Europe where the selection of UV filters that are available to us are some of the safest and most sophisticated in the world, so in time, we will be exploring chemical versions of the products that are safe for humans and the planet. This will also broaden our range to accommodate those who prefer the feel and texture of chemical-based sunscreens. As a 100% vegan brand, we are committed to using only plant-based ingredients and are one of the world’s only vegan zinc brands using sunflower wax instead of beeswax. Minimising our environmental impact through ingredients and plastic-free/alternative packaging.

In line with the branding, we’re keeping it simple and sleek to allow the brand and product to pop. Space-saving counter-top displays custom built with wood and interchangeable marketing display allows for seasonable updates and customisation to suit the individual retailer and location, where desired.
