How was the base layer market in 2024/25?
Still seeing the market improve year over year from pandemic years in Europe. Our Base Layer Tops and Bottoms are growing in orders, while Ninja Suit is still our highest booking product in the Airblaster line. As the most FUN and FUNCTIONAL base layer product, Ninja Suit remains Airblaster’s base layer bread and butter.

Are there any new trends in your segment?
We are seeing prints still performing well, and solid colors begin to pick up steam.

What are the key materials you are using?
Most widely used material is Air Tech, Airblaster’s trademark 4-way stretch poly/spandex blend. Combined with dialed fits, this 4-way stretch blend is provides the right mix of easy style and tech performance. For nature lovers, we have 4-way stretch Merino / Tencel / Elastane blend for increased durability and hand feel, as well as sustained odor resistance. New for 2627 is the introduction of an extra soft double knit version of Air Tech fabric with heat-trapping structure and silver anti microbial control from Swiss partner HeiQ. This fabric is introduced in Men’s Classic Ninja Suit and Men’s Base Layer Top / Bottom, in solid colors, while prints are available in our traditional Air Tech fabric.

Do you have any innovations here for 2026/27 or other tech news?
In Men’s we are rolling out a new material in our Solid Colors for Ninja Suit and Base Layer Separates – Black HQ, OLIVE HQ, OXBLOOD HQ. This is a mid weight, high loft knit that lends well to a solid color vs. our prints. It employs best-in-class antimicrobial odor control from Swiss partner HeiQ, for a fresh smell and clean feel.

What colours and patterns are you working with?
For Our 26/27 Men’s, pro Team Rider Bode Merrill has an awesome BLACK ICE color way in our Men’s Classic Ninja Suit, which also shows up in his Pro Collection Airblaster outerwear. Realtree™ realistic camo prints continue to see widespread success, and we’ve introduced a new unique OLIVE GRID print, which is a low key easily wearable camo. Ladies get a new radical mushroom print offered in either JADE MYCELIUM or DAWN MYCELIUM colorations, both of which emanate magical vibrations. LEOPARD has continued to hit for women, with new BLACK LEOPARD and SNOW LEOPARD colorations added for 26/27. Additionally for women, we have carried through our Boarding 4 Breast Cancer MELONS print for year two!
