BN3TH Mens Underwear 2026 Preview

Retail Buyers Guide:  Mens Underwear 2026 Retail Buyer’s Guide
Brand:  BN3TH
Interviewee: Dez Price — VP Marketing & CEO (BN3TH)

How was the market for Men’s Underwear in 2025?
In 2025, men’s underwear continued to be a steady growth category globally, with demand pushed by “comfort upgrades” (men trading up from commodity basics), performance-led product, and the ongoing “athleisure as default” lifestyle. Industry forecasts around the broader underwear market point to a mid-single-digit growth trajectory through this period (roughly ~4–5% CAGR depending on the source), which aligns with what we felt on the ground: shoppers kept spending on daily-wear essentials, but they expected more value per pair—better fit, feel and function.

What are the key trends in Men’s Underwear for 2026?
From our lens going into 2026, the category is being shaped by these trends:

  1. Performance + “invisible comfort”
Lighter-weight, smoother hand-feel, improved stretch/recovery, and reduced seams/pressure points—“feels like nothing, performs like something.” (You see this reflected broadly in editor testing and category coverage.)
  2. Supportive pouch engineering / anatomical fit
More brands are investing inpouch construction and ergonomic patterning because it’s a tangible, explainable upgrade that improves comfort across everyday + sport.
  3. Sustainability that’s measurable
Not just “green claims”—more recycled content, better fiber choices, and clearer material callouts (what it is, why it matters, and how it performs).
  4. Style as self-expression
Bolder prints, more intentional palettes, and “underwear you don’t mind being seen.” Even mainstream fashion media is leaning into visibility and styling.
  5. Activity segmentation
Shoppers increasingly buy underwear like shoes:a pair for the workday, a pair for travel, a pair for training, a pair for the weekend. On top of this, consumers have a mountain of reviews at their fingertips to research their product choice (and our product reviews speak for themselves – BN3TH 10,000+ reviews average 4.8 stars)

In which product segment of your 2026 collection do you expect your biggest growth?
Our biggest growth expectation sits in Performance—specifically our Pro franchise:

  • Pro Ultra(high-performance, lightweight)
  • Pro Flex(everyday sport)
  • Essentials (everyday performance/value)

That’s where we see the clearest consumer “job to be done,” and where retail partners can upsell on function (anti-microbial, keeping dry, reduced chafe, movement).

What shapes/designs do you offer in your 2026 collection?
Core underwear silhouettes, built around our pouch technology, including:

  • Boxer Briefs(core franchise)
  • Trunks
  • 2n1 Shorts/Swim activity-led and adjacent categories where we play (e.g., workout/running or swim/boardshort-liner use cases, depending on channel assortment).

What materials are you using?  Any new ones?
Our material strategy for 2026 is “premium next-to-skin” with clear performance intent:

  • TENCEL™ Modal(signature comfort, breathability, elevated hand-feel)
  • Performance synthetics(poly/elastane blends where we need faster dry, durability, and higher-output performance)
  • Recycled content where it makes sense—notably in certain performance/boardshort-focused builds (recycled plastic inputs called out in our Entourage positioning).

“Newness” is less about chasing novelty fibers and more about engineering: better knit structures, improved recovery, and purpose-built fabrics by activity. When you add this to our patent-pouch technology, BN3TH is uniquely placed as an “engineered performance” brand.

What colour palettes and graphics are you featuring in this collection? Any standout prints or collaborations you’d like to highlight?
2026 directionally is:

  • Core neutralsthat always win (black/charcoal/navy)
  • Earth + mineral tones(bronze/forest/stone-type hues) that feel premium and modern (seen across current assortment presentation)
  • Prints that read “confident” not “novelty”—geometrics, micro-patterns, seasonal statement prints
  • For standout moments: we lean intolimited prints and capsule drops tied to key retail moments and brand partnerships (collabs are selectively deployed when they’re additive to the brand and retailer story).

How are you addressing sustainability?
We’re focused on sustainability in ways customers can understand and retailers can communicate:

  • Material choiceswith better sustainability profiles where we can maintain comfort/performance (ex: TENCEL™ Modal in core comfort)
  • Recycled material programsin specific performance categories (ex: recycled plastic positioning in Entourage)
  • Durability + longevityas a sustainability lever: better construction, better elastic recovery, fewer “dead pairs” in drawers.

And then there is our Certified B accreditation that gives real proof behind what we’ve done and what were doing.

How are you supporting retailers to sell your Men’s Underwear?
In 2026 we will give Europe the attention and support it needs. For the first time, we will have a dedicated on-the-ground partner with Front Foot Agency (FFA), led by Brodie Carr. Through the we will support retailers a sell-through-first approach:

  • Clear good/better/best segmentation(Essentials vs Pro tiers) so shoppers can trade up with confidence.
  • Simple education toolsfor associates and customers (what pouch tech is, why it matters, and which line fits which activity)
  • Merchandising that’s easy to shop: best-seller SKU focus, strong replenishment colors, and clean planogram logic by silhouette + activity
  • Retail marketing support: launch kits, seasonal print stories, and performance messaging that translates at shelf (comfort, support, anti-chafe, quick-dry).
