How was the women’s snow outerwear market in 2025/26?
The 2025/26 season brought its share of challenges, with high inventory levels and a shifting political climate creating headwinds for both retailers and snow lovers alike. At ROJO, we saw this as an opportunity to double down on what matters most — supporting our independent retail partners and standing by our community. Epic snowfalls across Australia saw more women getting out on the slopes, and many of our customers looked to travel overseas to Japan. We responded with a tightly curated collection that balanced our heritage with what today’s consumer wants — fresh styles, a harmonious palette, and a product story that feels cohesive and considered. Community-led programs like Chicks Who Shred played a key role in strengthening our brand position and connecting directly with women on the mountain. These events create inclusive, no-pressure spaces where women can progress their skills and build confidence — something we’re deeply proud to facilitate. As we see growing division globally, it’s more important than ever to stand firm in our values — creating safe, welcoming spaces where women feel empowered to show up as they are. We’re proud to bring purpose and passion to everything we do and look forward to seeing continued positivity in the seasons ahead.

What is the overall theme behind your 2026/27 outerwear range? From which big trends do you take your inspiration?
ROJO has been proudly independent since 1987 — the original art-driven outerwear brand by women, for women. That legacy continues to shape everything we do. For 2026/27, we’ve gone back to our roots — revisiting our archives and reimagining our heritage through a modern lens. This range celebrates authenticity: bold prints, meaningful details, and functional design built for adventurous, free-spirited women who live for the mountains. It’s a love letter to where we’ve come from — and where we’re going next.

What new fits/silhouettes are coming out in 2026/27? What pant and jacket styles are most important in your range?
We’ve kept our proven, best-selling fits while layering in thoughtful updates for today’s rider.

  • Butter Tech: Buttery-soft fabrics with full seam sealing for next-level comfort and performance.
  • Cross-Functional Design: Styles that transition seamlessly on and off the mountain.
  • Enhanced Movement: Stretch panels that flex with you, designed to move as you do.
  • Timeless Style: Nostalgic silhouettes reworked with modern function — where fashion meets performance.

What new colours/prints are you introducing?
This season’s palette blends nostalgia with modern serenity — fresh, feminine, and easy to merchandise.

  • Colour Story: Washed pastels balanced with deep, earthy tones — think thistle meeting rich chocolate.

Any new technical stories with regards to fabrics and materials?
Yes — innovation remains at the core of our design process. For 2026/27, we’re excited to introduce:

  • AT-X: Our buttery 4-way stretch fabric for ultimate comfort and movement.
  • OEKO-TEX® Certified Fabrics and Trims: Ensuring cleaner, safer, more responsible production.
  • Plant-Based PFC-Free Waterproofing: Combining sustainability with high-performance tech.

Each step brings us closer to our goal of creating high-performing outerwear that’s better for the planet.

Any trends your brand is moving away from?
We’re continuing to move away from fast, trend-driven design cycles in favour of timeless, versatile styles that can live across multiple seasons. Our focus is on fewer, more intentional pieces — outerwear that performs, lasts, and can be styled back season after season. Sustainability remains central to our process through our Positive Change Initiative, which drives ongoing improvements in sourcing, materials, and waste reduction.
