Volcom Womens Outerwear F/W 2026/27 Preview

Retail Buyers Guide:  Womens Outerwear F/W 2026/27 Retail Buyer’s Guide
Brand:  Volcom
Interviewee: Volcom Marketing

What are the main trends you take your inspiration from for 2026/27?
We take our inspiration directly from our riders. Their style, riding habits, and performance needs shape everything we design in terms of silhouettes, detailing and tech features.

What new jacket fits and pant silhouettes are coming out in 2026/27?
A new Marcus Kleveland collection launches next season following the success of the inaugural collaboration this year. The Marcus Kleveland collection embodies the creativity and energy Marcus brings to snowboarding, combining trend-forward design with performance-driven functionality. For 26/27, Marcus’ second signature collection with Volcom is upgraded with refined fabrics and a new hood attachment construction. The range will be offered in three jacket colorways (Black, Cheetah, and Sky) and matching pants (Black, Khaki, and Sky) with Sky being Marcus’ personal favorite and the colorway he’ll be wearing at the 2026 Olympic Games. The Kleveland pieces deliver 15K waterproofing and breathable V-Science fabric in a baggy fit built for both performance and style. In addition, we are excited to introduce two new baggy outfits, developed at the request of our team riders:

  • Yourfav Baggy GORE Jacket & Pant available in three jacket colorways (Bright Blue, Dark Grey KLemon Drop) and two pant colorways (Black and Dark Green). Leilani Ettel will be wearing this outfit while competing in pipe at the Olympics.
  • Liftline 20K Jacket & Pant available in three jacket colorways (Black, Khaki, Purple Haze) and two pant colorways (Black and Teak). Long time Volcom fans will notice how the Liftline Jacket pays tribute to an early Volcom-Snow staple: the X-Wing Jacket.

Tell us about colours and prints:
Our palette balances clean, classic colours with seasonal statement prints such as cheetah, camo, zebra, and an all-over Volcom Snow check pattern.

Any *NEW* technical stories with regards to fabrics and materials?
We stick to what makes Volcom strong and what riders rely on:

  • GORE-TEX waterproofing
  • Thermal Defense System (TDS): strategically placed thermal panels to retain body heat while reducing weight and bulk
  • Zip Tech: a jacket-to-pant connection system to keep you dry
  • Face-Tech: a built-in removable facemask in the hood
  • Guide Proven Technology for backcountry-tested performance

All jackets and pants are PFAS-free, aligning with our commitment to more responsible outerwear design.

How are you addressing sustainability topics, not only in production of your products (materials, transportation, packaging) but also their after-life / repurposing?
As part of our circularity initiative, following the launch of our Volcom outerwear rental service in 2024 to help reduce overconsumption, we are introducing our second-hand service in 2025 to extend the life cycle of our products.

Any trends that your brand is moving away from?
We’re stepping away from slim, overly fitted silhouettes in favor of relaxed and baggy styles, aligned with rider preferences and street-inspired trends.

How are you targeting the female boardsports clients?
Our approach is simple: style and fit come first, regardless of gender. We design outerwear that feels good and looks good, performs in all conditions, and represents personal style without limitations. We’re also proud to have recently added three next-generation female riders who tick all the Volcommandments (secret Volcom Team rider recipe) to our Team, joining an already solid crew of amazing girls:
Laura “Lala” Zaveska from Czech Republic https://www.instagram.com/lalazraje/
Marie Kuhlmann from Germany https://www.instagram.com/marie_kuhlmann_/
Emine Kinck from Norway https://www.instagram.com/eminekinck/
Throw them a glance and tell us what you think!

What are your big marketing campaigns for 2026/27?
We’ve got a lot in the pipeline and can’t reveal everything just yet, but highlights include:

  • Arthur Longo movie in collaboration with Wasted Talent
  • Rider-driven outerwear campaigns centered around Marcus Kleveland, Bryan Iguchi, and Arthur Longo collections
