Which products sold best in the winter 2024/25 and why?
R-Series: Our award-winning RADAR and RACHEL helmets with fully integrated visors once again ranked among our best-selling products in winter 2024/25. The REV and RITA models without visors continue to impress with their lightweight in-mold construction, outstanding fit, and excellent ventilation.
C-Series: The COMPACT PRO and COMPACT EVO helmets convince with their modern design, outstanding fit, balanced inner climate, and – most importantly – excellent protection, all offered at highly competitive mid-price points.
Youth series: The MOJO and MAJA helmets, available both as visor models or without, offer everything needed by the next generation: supreme protection, great ventilation, and an easily adjustable fit system – and most importantly for kids – colorful designs with high visibility on the slopes. Given its sales figures and strong performance in the kids’ helmet segment, the Youth series remained an essential part of our best-selling products in the 2024/25 winter season and continues to play an important role in our product portfolio.
Which of your 2025/2026 helmets do you expect to perform best at retail and why?
The FÆRO helmet introduces our new all-mountain line for 2025/26, designed for both on- and off-slope adventures. It features a state-of-the-art design with a modern shape. Its Hybrid Shell construction, combining lightweight In-Mold technology with an ABS top shell, provides maximum protection while maintaining a sleek, contemporary look. The helmet’s Surround Comfort Design and innovative Sphere Fit system ensure a secure, customized fit for every head shape and seamless goggle integration. Adjustable ventilation, removable earpads, and a washable, anti-bacterial lining provide comfort, hygiene, and a pleasant experience even during long sessions on the slopes. Having already received positive market recognition, the FÆRO combines performance, safety, and style in one package. Thanks to these features and strong pre-sale feedback, we expect the F-Series to be one of our best-selling helmets in retail in the 2025/26 season.
Are there any observable trends in the practice of snowboarding that impact product demand and development?
Snowboarding and freeskiing are evolving toward higher levels of performance, demanding helmets that deliver uncompromised protection, comfort, and adaptability. Developed in close collaboration with our professional snowboarders and freeski athletes, the FÆRO helmet is built to meet these exact needs. It features a washable tech lining, a highly ventilated shell, and our Sphere Fit System with height adjustment, ensuring a precise, wrap-around fit and seamless goggle integration across all head shapes. The new Surround Comfort Design allows the helmet to sit lower while reducing visual bulk and providing room for headphones, maximizing comfort, safety, and all-day performance on the mountain.
What are the design and material highlights of your 2026/27 collection?
The FÆRO helmet platform blends safety and style in a modern Hybrid Shell design. Featuring Sphere Fit with innovative height adjustment, it ensures a perfect fit for unparalleled comfort and seamless goggle integration. Inspired by the innovative design of the FÆRO, our 2026/27 highlight is the new youth helmet platform YUKI, developed specifically for young skiers and snowboarders. As the “little brother” of FÆRO, YUKI inherits the SpEar Fit System, allowing vertical adjustment of the inner lining and earpads to ensure a pressure-free fit and seamless goggle integration. The Beanie Comfort System keeps kids’ heads warm and secure, maintaining a stable fit and perfectly aligned earpads throughout the day. Practical goggle fix hooks lock the strap in place, preventing it from slipping and making handling easy and intuitive for children. Combined with its lightweight In-Mold construction, youth-specific liner, and Thermal Ventilation, YUKI offers the ideal combination of function, fun, and protection for the next generation on snow. Available as a classic helmet for pairing with HEAD goggles, as a coordinated YUKI set, or as a visor model for effortless, all-in-one handling, YUKI brings the spirit of FÆRO into the youth segment and stands out as the key highlight of our 2026/27 collection.
What colours and designs are you featuring in your 2026/27 collection? Any standout collaborations?
We continue to build on our Intermix design strategy, enabling any helmet to pair effortlessly with any goggle across our protection range. With a palette that blends seasonal trend colors, such as earthy and warm tones, with timeless classics, we offer over 600 potential combinations, ensuring everyone can find their perfect match. Our new YUKI youth helmet platform brings vibrant, kid-friendly colors to the slopes, combining playful energy with enhanced safety through improved visibility. The color range reflects current trends while maintaining a lasting appeal, making YUKI both fun and functional and the ideal choice for the next generation of young skiers and snowboarders. As in previous seasons, we are continuing our partnership with Nickelodeon, offering exclusive PAW Patrol YUKI models so kids can ride alongside their favorite four-legged heroes.
Which product do you expect to grow the most in your 2026/2027 collection?
We expect the F-Series to maintain its strong performance thanks to its state-of-the-art design and advanced safety features. With the introduction of the new YUKI helmet platform, we anticipate even stronger growth in the youth segment. Featuring a newly developed fit system, smart problem-solving features, modern high-visibility colors and enhanced all-day comfort, YUKI is positioned to become the helmet of choice for young skiers and snowboarders aged 3 to 12.
How are you implementing sustainability in your products and production processes?
At HEAD, we call it Rethink: a commitment to rethinking our entire workflow—from product development to packaging. By reducing waste and using natural, recycled, and certified materials and processes, we are on the right path. But we also recognize that this is only the beginning. Our goal is to keep pushing further, improving step by step to create products that perform at the highest level while minimizing their impact on the planet. In the 25/26 season, three environmentally conscious helmet models will be available: FÆRO EXP RETHINK, RADAR RETHINK, and REV RETHINK. The RADAR visor is produced using 100% recycled polycarbonate, while the helmet shells contain 40% recycled material and smaller plastic components up to 60%. All soft parts are made from 100% recycled fleece, and the EPS core incorporates 20% natural cork. The packaging is updated to certified cardboard to improve recyclability. This represents the highest sustainability standard we can currently achieve with our partners—without compromising product performance or affordability.
What are your marketing stories for 2026/27?
YUKI – Kids love it, parents trust it. Many parents struggle to find the right helmet for their children—one that fits properly, eliminates goggle gaps, and keeps them warm and safe. All of these factors are essential for all-day comfort and protection on the slopes. With HEAD’s new YUKI helmet, these concerns are finally resolved. YUKI delivers a secure, precise fit, ensures perfect goggle positioning, and offers maximum comfort with intuitive handling in a modern, timeless design. At the core of YUKI’s performance is the height-adjustable SphEar Fit System, which allows vertical adjustment in three steps, simultaneously moving the earpads to guarantee seamless goggle integration. The Beanie Comfort Design gently wraps around the head and neck like a soft beanie, creating a snug, pressure-free fit that remains comfortable from the first lift ride to the last run. When it comes to handling, YUKI is engineered for independence. Pre-mounted clip-on goggle fixes keep goggles securely in place—even during playful jumps or tumbles—while the Goggle Venting System prevents fogging for consistently clear vision. Thermal Ventilation manages internal airflow, keeping warm air out and cold air away to maintain a balanced climate throughout a full day on snow. The visor option offers an all-in-one solution that can be easily converted into a classic goggle setup, allowing even the youngest skiers to manage it confidently without adult assistance. Safety is enhanced through bright, high-visibility colors and a youth-specific fit system that ensures reliable support and stability. Designed to be both kid-approved and parent-trusted, YUKI combines safety, smart functionality, and playful design—making it the perfect companion for the next generation of skiers and snowboarders.
How are you supporting retailers to sell this category?
Some of the world’s best athletes rely on HEAD helmets, ensuring strong visibility of our products on the global stage. Beyond elite presence, we are expanding our active seeding strategy by equipping selected testers and ambassador families ahead of the season—such as with the new YUKI helmet—to generate authentic feedback and real-world visibility even before the official market launch. All Futureheads athletes will be equipped with YUKI, reinforcing its relevance as the next-generation youth helmet. To support our retail partners, we provide premium content packages including product information, feature breakdowns, technology insights, fit guidance, and video assets—everything needed to confidently present and sell HEAD helmets. In addition, we offer durable, sustainable POS materials such as metal-branded slat wall holders with mannequin heads, designed to highlight our helmets and helmet–goggle combinations at retail. Aligned with our Intermix Design strategy, we have expanded the number of carry-over and multi-seasonal colors, providing retailers with the flexibility to carry helmets across multiple seasons without the pressure of end-of-season markdowns. To drive engagement and conversion, we are also planning on-snow test events, giving customers the chance to experience our superior fit and comfort firsthand—because nothing convinces better than trying it on.
