The eco award presented at this year’s Slide x OTS Winter tradeshow (in partnership with POW) was won by Bollé for their Atmos helmet. New for 2022/23, the Atmos helmet incorporates recycled materials across all aspects of design.

Press Release:

The snowsport and outdoor industry trade show Slide & OTS Winter gives retail buyers the best opportunity to view, compare and order products for winter 2022-2023. One of the show highlights is the Slide & OTS Winter Awards which recognize the very best new products for the following season.

This year, the show partnered with Protect Our Winters UK for the Eco Award category, a category for brands that show particularly environmentally friendly credentials. Judged on its own merit and its broader value chain only, the participating products were judged on Protect Our Winters’ interpretation of its overall environmental impact, taking into account and balancing all environmental subjects.

In recognition of Bollé’s contribution in this area and its expertise, design and technology, Bollé is proud to announce that it’s new for winter 22-23 Eco Atmos helmet was voted the winner of the Eco category.

After having developed in summer a sustainable urban range of cycling helmets (4 models and 9 colourways), the Eco Atmos ski helmet and also the new launch Eco Blanca goggle are Bollé’s natural response to the needs of avid skiers who want to do their part for the planet. A new chapter has opened in Bolle’s sustainability approach giving rise to not only sustainable products but also a React For Good campaign.

On winning the Eco Award, Louis Cisti, Vice President – Global Marketing Bollé Brands said, “The more we grow, the more it becomes clear that the future of innovation will have to be anchored around sustainability and our ethical impact as a brand. Our industry shall stop being part of the problem and become part of the solution for our planet and society. This year is a turning point for Bollé with the launch of its “React For Good” campaign supported by the launch of our eco conceived commuter cycling helmets and our eco conceived winter goggle and helmet. This award is the result of a journey we started 2 years ago and gives credit to our core strategy. We are super proud of this Eco Award.”

With its in mold construction, the ECO ATMOS first attributes are its lightness and comfort. Designed with eco materials including a Lycra lining, straps, dividers, shell and earpads, all partially made from recycled or bio based materials along with cork mixed with the EPS, it is Bollé’s first ski helmet with a sustainability approach.

The active ventilation system with 8 vents also makes the ECO ATMOS one of the most ventilated helmets in Bollé’s range.
