How would you describe the 2024/25 splitboard season in terms of market performance and consumer demand?
While splitboard sales are still declining, the trend is here to stay and dedicated consumers look for high-tech/high quality products.

What major trends are shaping the splitboard market (pricing, consumer preferences, backcountry participation)?
The ascent is becoming a priority now. Non only changing the way brands are shaping and building their splitboards, with sidecut radiuses and weight making a significant difference, but also bringing hard boots and bindings into perspective.

From changing consumer behavior to tariffs and supply chain stress, what’s been the biggest challenge for your brand recently?
Tariffs, for a change.

How are you supporting retailers in selling this category?
Tailored mark ups, clinics, test products and after-sales servicing

SPLITBOARD SPECIFIC

What trends or innovations in construction, shapes, or functionality (skinning, transitions, riding) are you highlighting in your 26/27 range?
Technically speaking, our 25/26 splitboard offer will carry forward to 26/27. We’ll only have facelifts on 100% of the boards.

What new approaches are you taking in design — graphics, patterns, collabs, or limited editions?
We’re doing a collab with Salt Lake City’s photographer/artist Andy Earl on the Xavier De Le Rue XV split and XV Slashimi Split  series.

Are you putting a stronger emphasis on particular ranges (e.g., freeride, expedition, lightweight touring, women’s-specific, entry-level) for 26/27?
Definitely freeride, but intentionally expedition to follow Xavier De Le Rue and Marion Haerty’s needs.
