How was the sunglasses market overall in 2025?
The market performed very well in 2025. We’re seeing sports eyewear move beyond just athletes and become everyday staples for a much broader audience.

What new trends have you seen for sunglasses in board sports for 2026?
Sport frames continue to perform strongly, but consumers are increasingly buying eyewear tailored to specific sports and weather conditions. Versatility is key. That’s why we offer a wide selection designed to suit different activities, environments, and everyday wear.

Which segment of your 2026 offering do you expect to sell best and why?
Sport-driven styles remain strong, alongside larger statement frames that are growing in popularity. However, our photochromic lenses are expected to perform best, as we’ve expanded them across more styles. They work equally well for daily lifestyle use and outdoor adventures.

What new frame shapes and colours are in your 2026 offer?
We’re introducing green smoke, which is gaining strong momentum, as well as a warm camel tone that feels very on-trend. Brown smoke and mirrored lenses are also becoming popular,  and burgundy is emerging as one of the standout colours of the year.

Which lens technologies from your 2026 offer are most in demand?
Photochromic lenses are in highest demand, thanks to their ability to adapt seamlessly to changing light conditions.

Have you introduced any new lens colours and tints in your 2026 offering?
We’re continuing to expand our range of photochromic lenses, introducing a broader palette of colours alongside an extended selection of frames. In addition, we’re developing more styles featuring lightly tinted lenses, offering a more subtle look without full coverage.

Any noteworthy sustainable practices in your production and shipping processes this year?
We continue to produce our products using recycled materials and are expanding our support for CleanHub, an organization working to remove plastic from the oceans. Our goal is to go way beyond net-zero plastic (as we are now)  and actively contribute to reducing environmental impact.

What are your marketing stories?
At CHPO, we do our best to keep our environmental impact as small as possible. That’s why all our glasses are made from recycled plastic, all our watches are fully recyclable, and we only use vegan leather for our straps. When you wear CHPO, you’re not just looking good you’re making a difference with us. How are you supporting retailers to sell this category?
We provide a wide range of creative marketing assets and point-of-purchase (POP) materials in various sizes to support retailers both in-store and online.
