Introducing CLUBHOUSE Innsbruck: Community Driven Snowboarding Hub

CLUBHOUSE: The New Hub for Snowboarding Culture?

In snowboarding, community is everything. It’s what keeps the culture alive, evolving, and stoking out new generations of riders. But in a world where most of our interactions are happening online, we’ve lost some of that real-life connection. Enter CLUBHOUSE: a new space that’s bringing snowboarders back together in person, celebrating the sport and culture that bind us all.

TDI Crew had the chance to spread their message in a night to remember.

CLUBHOUSE started small—just some movie nights, a few beers, and good conversations. But it quickly became clear: this wasn’t just a hangout; it was the heartbeat of the local scene. And now, it’s growing into something much bigger—a hub for the snowboard community to gather, share, learn, and push the culture forward.

What’s CLUBHOUSE All About?

At its core, CLUBHOUSE is about connection. No big stages, no overly produced events—just snowboarders hanging out, watching films, hearing from industry insiders, and having the conversations that matter to the culture. Whether it’s premiere nights, Q&A sessions with local referents, industry characters, artists  or chats about snowboarding’s future, CLUBHOUSE is giving snowboarders a real-life space to come together.

“Thanks for giving me the chance to talk about things that I really care about! Photography is my life and being able to share my experiences with other people in a cool location was really enjoyable. We need more gatherings like this!” Theo Acworth

Why Snowboarding Needs This Now

Let’s face it: we’ve all been feeling it. Snowboarding’s culture is stronger than ever, but the digital shift has left a gap in real-world connection. Events like CLUBHOUSE are bringing that back. The snowboarding community is built on shared experiences—riding together, watching the latest edits, talking about the sport we love.

CLUBHOUSE isn’t trying to recreate some old-school vibe—it’s tapping into what’s always been at the heart of snowboarding: community. It’s the place to celebrate the scene, share stories, and most importantly, be part of something bigger than yourself.

Innsbruck: The Perfect Host

Hosting CLUBHOUSE in Innsbruck elevates both the event and the city’s already significant role in the global snowboard scene. Innsbruck is more than just a winter sports destination—it’s a cultural hub for snowboarding in Europe.

With CLUBHOUSE, the city has an opportunity to showcase its unique mix of urban vibe and alpine adventure. Riders and creatives from all over the world will gather here, not only for the mountains but to connect with the local scene and contribute to the growing snowboard culture Innsbruck fosters.

From Passion to Profession

One of the coolest things about CLUBHOUSE is how it shows the paths people take within the snowboard industry. The Pirate Movie Productions crew, for example, started out as a group of friends filming their sessions. Fast forward, and they’ve built a renowned snowboard film production company. Riders like Chris Patsch went from filming parts to running global brands. These aren’t just stories—they’re real-life examples of how passion for snowboarding can turn into lifelong careers.

” I am a huge fan of the Clubhouse Concept. Mariano invited us as The Pirates to present one of our older films to the Burton staff and the kids from the local Snowboard Club Young Action Heroes and we had a blast!. I also had the chance to come by for a Clubhouse where Jonathan Weaver was doing some Q&A and talking about movies that motivated him as a young UK kid to make it to the Alps. Was super interesting and a great night catching up with old and new friends. Is not a mourning of the old days, but a great event to celebrate snowboarding together” Basti Balser, Pirate Movie Production.

CLUBHOUSE is where those stories get shared, inspiring the next generation to see what’s possible in the snowboarding world. It’s a space to learn from the people who’ve been there, done that, and are still pushing the boundaries and vice versa, hearing and feeling the energy of the new generation with it´s ideas and projects.

Real Conversations, Real Connections

What sets CLUBHOUSE apart is its authenticity. This isn’t about selling products or hitting social media metrics. It’s about real connections. When we gathered for a screening of Jeremy Jones’ Purple Mountains, the conversations didn’t end with the movie. We talked about climate change, individual responsibility, and the role snowboarding plays in it all. These are the kinds of discussions that can’t happen behind a screen—they need a real, shared space.

Or when they had the crew from “Cycles”, an experimental film on how female athletes navigate their menstrual cycle. They had guests share an experience they personally had within this universe, write it down on a piece of paper and leave it in a big bowl. At the end of the night people would grab a random one and take it home. The connection this created far beyond the walls of CLUBHOUSE talks about where the focus is on these events.

CLUBHOUSE doesn’t just bring people together—it pushes the local snowboard scene forward. The event series acts like a spark, lighting up new ideas, collaborations, and connections that might never have happened otherwise.

“It’s easy to look at marketing as how big the events are or how many people engage but I see more and more the demand for intimate moments with the community is ever more important. 1 on 1 connection I feel is what breeds advocacy for a brand and is crucial in our digital world. The setting at Burton was perfect since they have a flagship store and a showroom” Jonathan Weaver, Db CMO.

A refresher, CH isn’t trying to be yet another corporate event. It’s about grassroots vibes, by the community, for the community. This is about us—snowboarders keeping snowboarding alive. It started as a small movie night, but now it’s become something way bigger. It’s a space where every session, every conversation, every connection is a chance to lift up the scene.

It’s these moments—whether it’s watching movies together, listening to interesting people talk about their journey, or simply sharing a beer after a session—that make CLUBHOUSE a critical part of snowboarding’s culture.

The Future of Snowboard Community

CLUBHOUSE is still in its early days, but it’s already making waves. From local riders to industry legends, the turnout is growing. People are showing up, and the vibe is only getting stronger. In the 2024/25 season, CLUBHOUSE events will continue to evolve—bringing in even more diverse voices, new stories, and fresh inspiration for the snowboard scene.

At a time when snowboarding is more global and digital than ever, this happening is bringing it all back home. It’s giving the community a place to gather, to connect, and to keep snowboarding’s culture alive and thriving.

CLUBHOUSE is already turning heads in Innsbruck, and the vibe is spreading fast. Attendance is growing, from local riders to industry legends, from students to photographers. And the best part? It’s all rooted in the community. This is just the beginning.

For those of us who love snowboarding, this is the kind of space we’ve been waiting for. Whether you’re in it for the powder, the films, or just the stoke, CLUBHOUSE is where it all comes together. It’s not just an event—it’s the future of how we stay connected to the heart of snowboarding.

So, what are you waiting for? See you at the next CLUBHOUSE.
