In 2 sentences – how was the women’s snow outerwear market in 2024/25?
The women’s FW collection in 2024/25 performed exceptionally well, with standout pieces like the new ZIP-Shift jackets with its detachable belt and the short VOX jacket becoming top sellers. Strong interest in fleeces, jackets, and coordinated urban outdoor accessories also reflected key trends that continue into the FW26-27 collection.
What are the main trends you take your inspiration from for 2026/27?
For FW26/27, we took inspiration from a blend of Industrial Revolution optimism, Jules Verne–style exploration and the sense of entering a new reality shaped by scientific and cultural innovation. This spirit of transformation and cosmic curiosity translates into the collection through shiny mixed fabrics, touches of fur and velvet, corduroy, puffed sleeves, stripes and refined embellishments. We’re also focusing a bit more on a more versatile use: not only for winter jackets as the ZIP-Shift for example, but also the Urban Outdoor collection is where style meets adventure. Perfectly suited for outdoor adventures, but also city exploring and everyday wear, allowing us to appeal to a broader audience.
What new jacket fits and pant silhouettes are coming out in 2026/27?
For 2026/27, we’re bringing a full spectrum of fits and silhouettes to match every type of rider. From sleek, body-flattering ski pants and cropped fashion-forward jackets to fully technical outerwear and bold oversized shapes for the more daring women on the mountain. Our skipulls and midlayers remain essential, packed with standout prints and elevated fabric choices, now including a brand-new waffle structure that adds fresh texture. The Urban Outdoor range also expands with versatile silhouettes: insulated bodywarmers, waterproof jackets from long to short, soft to structured, plus our signature shackets and multi-layer pieces. Designed for all-day use, these styles effortlessly take you from a hike up the mountain to everyday city errands, true multi-use functionality with a stylish attitude. A returning favorite is the ZIP-Shift jacket, but for the next season the innovation goes even further with the introduction of the ZIP-Shift suit. This new design allows you to wear the outfit in three different ways, with the jacket fully detachable from the pants for maximum versatility.
Any *NEW* technical stories with regards to fabrics and materials?
For FW26/27, our colour and print direction embraces a bold, fashion-forward attitude while staying rooted in technical performance. Corduroy emerges as a key trend across the women’s collection, fully upgraded to meet our technical standards, including 10K waterproofing, and extended into matching gloves and accessories for a complete, coordinated look. Stripes make a confident return, while tops take a more expressive turn with velvet textures, shimmering rhinestones, badges, puffed sleeves, velour finishes and standout all-over prints, creating a truly statement-making aesthetic. Dots also evolve into a modern trend, now reimagined in a denim-inspired interpretation that feels tougher, shinier and more metallic mirroring the mix of materials seen throughout our jackets and tops. On the technical side, we introduce new fabric stories that elevate both style and performance. A highlight is the PRTRicci, a fully technical rib-structured jacket with 20K waterproofing, a perfect example of how we merge innovation with contemporary design. Across the collection, shiny and mixed-material constructions continue to push the technical narrative forward, ensuring every piece looks bold while performing at the highest level. Another exciting innovation is our new teddy ski pants, designed to give you the warmest ski day ever. A true standout in the collection, the PRTSonny offers exceptional comfort on colder days. The soft teddy lining keeps you warm while adding a luxurious, cozy feel, so you can move through your day in total comfort. And a fun new gimmick is the Apres-ski Strap: an inner shoulder strap added to our heavier jackets, allowing you to carry your jacket over your shoulder with ease when things get a bit too warm.
How are you addressing sustainability topics, not only in production of your products (materials, transportation, packaging) but also their after-life / repurposing?

How are you targeting the female boardsports clients?
We target female boardsports/ski riders by striking the perfect balance between fashion-forward design and true mountain performance. Our women’s collection blends on-trend fabrics, colours, and prints with a wide variety of fits, ensuring there’s something for every type of rider. Protest Sportswear was originally born as a snowboard brand, and that heritage remains at the core of what we do, which is why we continue to serve the more fearless women on the mountain with technical jackets, wider silhouettes, and performance-driven outerwear. At the same time, we keep evolving: this season we’re introducing merino base layers for the first time, offered in fun, expressive prints that bring style all the way down to the first layer.
Any trends that your brand is moving away from?
We aim to be there for everyone, because our mission is to let everyone ride more. So we follow trends, but we also keep our bestsellers and essentials in the collection and updating the colors.
What are your big marketing campaigns for 2026/27?
In 2026/27, we’re doubling down on online visibility as we push to expand global brand awareness, anchored in our core values of ride more and making fun. While the women’s segment has leaned heavily into fashion in recent years, the coming season is all about restoring balance. We’ll spotlight new innovations like the ZIP-Shift jackets and suits, as well as the wider technical clothing, reinforcing both style and performance as key pillars of our storytelling.
Key Prosucts:
ZIP-Shift suit:
Building on the innovation of the Zip-Shift Jacket, this season we introduce the ultimate duo: the Zip-Shift Suit. This complete ski outfit for women combines the functionality of our popular PRTLullaby pants with the clever design of the Zip-Shift Jacket. The biggest advantage? The jacket is fully detachable from the pants, allowing you to wear both pieces separately. Practical yet stylish: from a full coordinated look to individual jacket or pants, it’s perfect for quick changes, a short break, or a spontaneous après-ski.

ZIP-SHIFT JACKET:
The Zip-Shift Jacket is back this season, proving that one jacket can create multiple stories. Wear it as a chic short winter jacket over jeans for a casual city look, or attach the waistband for a sportier, structured fit on the slopes, ready for action without compromising style. And it doesn’t stop there. The detachable waistband can be ordered separately in classic black or a bold leopard print, letting you mix, match, and create your own unique combinations. Effortless comfort, smart versatility and a statement-making design, all wrapped up in one jacket.

Corduroy:
A part of the women’s collection is crafted from corduroy, the trend fabric of the season. It combines style and performance, offering a soft, modern look while meeting all technical demands with 10K waterproofing. The gloves and accessories are made from premium technical materials and designed to perfectly match the full outfit, creating a look that’s both functional and effortlessly cool.
