Brand: Mas snowboards
Interviewee: Marketing Team
How would you describe the 2024/25 snowboard season in terms of market performance and consumer demand?
The 26/27 season marked an exciting milestone for MAS Snowboards, with demand reaching its highest level since the post-COVID rebound. The abundant snow conditions provided an ideal environment for testing and refining our new boards across every type of terrain — from deep powder to icy groomers. As a manufacturer committed to precision and performance, these real-world tests are vital to ensuring our designs meet the diverse needs of riders everywhere. This past season not only validated the progress of our latest innovations but also reinforced our confidence that the positive momentum and rider enthusiasm will continue into the year ahead.
What major trends are shaping the snowboard market (pricing, consumer preferences, rider demographics, retail shifts)?
E- commerce is good way to show board to customers. However physical retail is the primary way to reach customers. Retail stores do the hard work. Stores explain the characteristics of the boards and advise the right board for the rider. MAS Snowboard’s main purpose is to produce a board to reflect the riders own style. So physical retails are crucial to reach this idea.
From changing consumer behavior to tariffs and supply chain stress, what’s been the biggest challenge for your brand recently?
Our strongest part is, we have the flexibility to adapt to the needs of our partners. 100% rider-owned and operated with a close connection to the dealer and customers.
BRAND FOCUS
What is your brand’s core mission or philosophy, and how does it influence snowboard design and development?
At MAS Snowboards, our mission is to craft boards that fuse innovation, craftsmanship, and authenticity. We design with purpose — creating snowboards that feel alive, perform in all conditions, and reflect our deep manufacturing expertise. Every board embodies our belief in progress through experience, blending technology and creativity to deliver pure riding confidence.
How has your brand’s role in the snowboard market evolved in recent years?
At MAS Snowboards, we’re proud to be one of the fastest-growing snowboard brands in today’s market. Our unique strength lies in the fact that we don’t just build our own boards — we manufacture for other leading brands as well. This cross-brand collaboration allows an incredible exchange of ideas, technologies, and craftsmanship within our factory walls. Every production run brings new insights, materials, and performance feedback that feed directly into the evolution of MAS products. By combining the collective know-how of multiple global brands with our own design vision and precision manufacturing, we’re continuously refining our boards — becoming stronger, smarter, and more innovative with every season.
Who is your target rider for the 26/27 season, and how has this profile changed compared to the past?
For the 26/27 season, we’re shaping boards for riders who live for the whole mountain — the ones chasing turns from first lift to last light. They want gear that moves with them, not against them, whether they’re carving groomers or diving into powder. Over the years, we’ve watched our community evolve; it’s not just freestyle kids anymore, but a mix of freeriders, explorers, strong women, and newcomers who care about where their gear comes from. They ride with intention — looking for boards built with meaning, not marketing. That spirit is what defines the MAS rider: progressive, creative, and always connected to the mountains.
Which product ranges or categories do you expect to drive the most growth in 26/27?
For 26/27, MAS Snowboards expects the powerful growth to come from the all-mountain and freeride categories, where riders increasingly seek one board that can coop with every condition. The all-mountain hybrid line Mas boards with its balanced flex, versatile profiles, and approachable performance, continues to attract both progressing riders and seasoned enthusiasts. Meanwhile, our directional freeride shapes are gaining momentum as backcountry like Star destroyer brand and off-piste culture expand, especially among riders who value float, control, and sustainability in construction. Additionally, women’s specific and youth boards are set for the notable growth, reflecting our focus on inclusivity and new-rider engagement. Together, these ranges define MAS Snowboard next vision of performance, versatility, and reach.
SNOWBOARD SPECIFIC
What trends or developments in construction, shapes, and innovation are guiding your 26/27 snowboard range?
At MAS Snowboards, our 26/27 line is all about real-world performance and feel. We’ve been fine-tuning hybrid camber, to make turns smoother and add extra float when the snow gets deep. Directional and volume-shifted shapes bring easy control and punchy power in freeride terrain. Inside, lightweight paulownia and fir cores work with targeted carbon stringers for the right mix of flex and pop, while new bio-based resins help us cut down our footprint without giving up on strength or response.
What new materials or material innovations are you using — inserts, edges, cores, sidewalls, resin, glues, base material, top sheet, wax, or others?
In our 26/27 line, MAS Snowboards explores a new level of material precision and feel underfoot. We’ve introduced “abzb sidewalls” that absorb vibration for a smoother ride, with Enthropyh resins. Every detail—from resin chemistry to edge metallurgy—has been reconsidered to make each board ride cleaner, faster, and more alive than ever
How are you incorporating sustainability and ethical production into your boards (materials, processes, lifecycle, packaging)?
At MAS Snowboards, sustainability isn’t an afterthought — it’s embedded in every step of our design and prodsuction process. For 26/27, we’ve transitioned to responsibly sourced wood cores from forests that we have supported of planting trees , bio-based resins Such as Super SAP by Entropy derived from renewable resources, and recycled metal edges and inserts to minimize waste. Our manufacturing partners operate under low-emission, energy-efficient facilitis, Through these actions, MAS continues to ride toward a future where performance and responsibility carve the same line.
What design directions are you taking — graphics, patterns, collabs, or signature editions?
Each board tells its own story, inspired by nature, survival, and change. You can see it in the bold colors, the rough textures, and the small details that make every design feel alive. This year we teamed up with a few independent artists who share our love for the mountains, bringing their own raw energy into the graphics. We’re also rolling out a few signature editions that carry the spirit of our team riders. The result is a collection that blends storytelling and clean design — boards built to ride hard and look like something you’d hang on a wall.
Are you focusing on particular rider groups (freeride, freestyle, all-mountain, women’s-specific, youth, beginner) for 26/27?
For 26/27, we’re not limiting ourselves to one type of rider. At MAS, snowboarding is about freedom and expression, not fitting into a category. Our boards are for anyone who wants to feel the mountain under their feet — whether that’s carving groomers, floating in powder, or hitting the park. Each board is designed to move with you, letting your own style take the lead.
