Retail Buyers Guide: Snowboards F/W 2026/27 Retail Buyer’s Guide
Brand: WESTON
Interviewee: Sean Eno, Director of Marketing
How would you describe the 2024/25 snow board season in terms of market performance and consumer demand?
We’re finally starting to see a leveling out of the decline in purchasing and a stronger push for full price gear.
What major trends are shaping the snowboard market (pricing, consumer preferences, participation)?
Tariffs and overall economic uncertainty are the largest players from our perspective. Its resulting in line consolidation.
From changing consumer behavior to tariffs and supply chain stress, what’s been the biggest challenge for your brand recently?
Tariffs and the general state of retailers. Many doors have completely closed while others are moving to reduced inventory and ultimately brands represented.
How are you supporting retailers in selling this category?
We’ve been offering to refresh inventory if any still exists in carryover and take back outdated items. We’ve also been continuing to build upon our splitboard 101s and general sales floor education.
What trends or innovations in construction, shapes, or functionality are you highlighting in your 26/27 range?
There will be no major updates or changing in the 26/27 range.
Are you using new materials in your snowboards (inserts, edges, cores, sidewalls, resin, glues, wood types, bases, top sheets, wax, etc.)?
No
What new approaches are you taking in design — graphics, patterns, collabs, or limited editions?
We’re launching an entire line with our tried / true and bestselling artist – John Fellows.
Are you putting a stronger emphasis on particular ranges (e.g., freeride, expedition, lightweight touring, women’s-specific, entry-level) for 26/27?
We’re continuing to put most of our efforts into the Powder / Freeride elements.
