Neilpryde Wetsuits F/W 2026 Preview
Retail Buyers Guide: Wetsuits F/W 2026 Retail Buyer’s Guide
Brand: Neilpryde
Interviewee: Franziska Hacker, International Marketing & Communication
After a few seasons of (mostly) carryovers, fresh pieces were introduced in FW25. How did things pan out saleswise?
FW25 marked an important turning point for us. Reconnecting with key members of the original NeilPryde Waterwear team allowed us to reintroduce fresh products built on decades of experience, refined fits, and proven performance philosophies. This “back to roots with a fresh start” approach resonated strongly, validating our direction and setting a solid foundation for future collections.
The Fall/Winter collection is where innovations and new models come to life: which are the key additions to your range for FW26?
FW26 is built around a fully renewed wetsuit platform. Key additions include our new MSL Luxe Neoprene, which delivers exceptional softness, flexibility, warmth, and durability, and the Neo Silk lining, our most flexible and comfortable inner lining to date. On top of that, the Mission Eco wetsuit represents a major step forward in sustainable performance, and the return of a dedicated women’s hooded winter suit (Vamp Fullsuit) expands and strengthens our women’s offering.
Do you notice a discrepancy between the sales ratio of premium wetsuits and entry-level ones?
We see strong demand for premium wetsuits, especially as riders increasingly value comfort, flexibility, warmth, and durability. Innovations like MSL Luxe Neoprene and Neo Silk lining clearly resonate with customers who want high-performance gear that enhances their time on the water.
The shift to non-petroleum based foam is close to the take over. Are you relying on established suppliers or developing your own proprietary technologies, as seen among some brands for a couple years?
That’s always the big question — how to create an eco-friendly wetsuit that still feels and performs like a NeilPryde. With the Mission Eco, we’ve developed what we believe is the best possible balance between sustainability, warmth, and flexibility right now. The neoprene we use is made from 100% nature-based rubber, which is fully biodegradable, and we’ve combined it with water-based lamination adhesives to further reduce environmental impact. At the same time, we’re very aware that it’s not perfect yet — sustainability is a journey, and we’re committed to continuing to improve. Our goal was to make meaningful progress without compromising performance. We combined this new neoprene with water-based lamination adhesives and our proven NeilPryde fit to ensure the same premium feel, elasticity, and warmth riders expect from us. The Mission Eco isn’t the final destination — it’s a step forward on a continuous path toward genuinely sustainable performance gear.
Any innovations in the linings for 2026?
Yes. The headline innovation is our new Neo Silk lining, which offers an ultra-soft, silky feel and is our most flexible lining ever. It allows hands and feet to glide easily into the suit while cushioning the skin. Combined with Tech Zag and Hotcell insulation panels, it delivers targeted warmth without restricting movement.
Do you notice any difference in the consumer habits of women? (wetsuit thickness, entry/closure systems, colors…)
Absolutely. The growing number of women entering watersports—especially winging—has highlighted the need for products designed specifically for female riders. With the Vamp Fullsuit, we focused on creating a true women’s winter wetsuit rather than scaling down men’s designs. Functionality, comfort, protection, and expressive design all play an important role for this audience.
How are you helping retailers to sell more suits?
We support retailers by delivering a clearly structured, performance-driven range with strong storytelling around materials, comfort, sustainability, and heritage. The wetsuits are complemented by a growing ecosystem of impact vests, base layers, accessories, and outerwear like the Windfighter Hoodie and Stormchaser Jacket—allowing retailers to offer a complete cold-water system rather than isolated products.
