Prolimit Wetsuits F/W 2026 Preview

Retail Buyers Guide:  Wetsuits F/W 2026 Retail Buyer’s Guide
Brand:  Prolimit
Interviewee: Alex Cretier

After a few seasons of (mostly) carryovers, fresh pieces were introduced in FW25. How did things pan out saleswise?
Prolimit introduced a complete new range with 100% FSC Certified NaturePrene line up. All wetsuits in the EU should have a CE certification on wetsuits and Prolimit is the only wetsuit which confirms to this legislation. Officially wetsuits WITHOUT CE are not allowed to be sold in the EU.

The Fall/Winter collection is where innovations and new models come to life: which are the key additions to your range for FW26?
Prolimit introduced a complete new MERCURY, VAPOR and FUSION range with new outerlinings and lowered Retail pricing across the range while maintaining the high quality and detailed finishing. Completely new in the industry we introduced the C-ZIP closure construction.

Most wetsuit brands contained the rise of prices so far. Will FW26 remain stable regarding pricepoints?
Prolimit decreased all wetsuit pricing for 2026.

Do you notice a discrepancy between the sales ratio of premium wetsuits and entry-level ones?
Prolimit is shifting more and more to the sales of premium wetsuits. Entry level wetsuits are faced with the competition of close outs.

The shift to non-petroleum based foam is close to the take over. Are you relying on established suppliers or developing your own proprietary technologies, as seen among some brands for a couple years?
Prolimit started 12 years ago with the development of NATUREPRENE and shifted 100% in the meantime to Limestone neoprene. Since 2024 we changed to 100% NaturePrene2 wetsuits (A natural rubber) without using any Petroleum based neoprene and without using any Mined neoprene such as limestone. Time to start talking about NaturePrene and Neoprene!

Any innovations in the linings for 2026?
Prolimit linings are above premium, using the patented Thermo blanket based lining on our Thermal Rebound Zodiac linings, our QUADFLEX on Mercury wetsuits and using on our Vapor and Mercury the 4 layer neoprene construction, unique in the industry!

Do you notice any difference in the consumer habits of women? (wetsuit thickness, entry/closure systems, colors…)
Prolimit women wetsuits are using the same premium materials and finishing as our other male wetsuit ranges. Offering the best protection and warmth a women can wish for. We do however see that women buy a cheaper construction wetsuit while we wish they would go for the best warmth so we can keep girls in our sport throughout the year.

Please briefly mention the repair/recycle programs offered by your brand.
Prolimit is using recycled materials throughout our range and the best repair/recycle program we can offer is to ensure people have no issues with our quality and can use their wetsuits for a longer time than any other wetsuit brand. From 2027 we are aiming at a 100% recycle program for wetsuits

How are you helping retailers to sell more suits?
At Prolimit we care about sharing our technology knowhow with our dealernetwork. Internally we train our salesteam to make sure all the benefits of our ranges are transferred so the level of knowhow is high at our dealerlevel. Next to it we have made wetsuits on which all the benefits of our range is well exposed and can be easily shown to the retailers customer base.
