Brand: Rome
Interviewee: Marketing Team
How would you describe the 2024/25 snowboard boot season in terms of market performance and consumer demand?
The demand is strong, with a resurgence in classic styles and price point driving purchases. We are reintroducing four boot models, with the intent that they are future proof carry forward design.
What major trends are currently shaping the snowboard boot market (pricing, consumer preferences, retail shifts)?
For us its about carry forward price point options.
From changing consumer behavior to tariffs and supply chain stress, what’s been the biggest challenge for your brand recently?
Pricing has been the biggest challenge.
BRAND FOCUS
What is your brand’s core mission or philosophy, and how does it influence snowboard boot development?
Our biggest philosophy is to deliver the best possible boot, at the best possible price. Having a timeless, carry forward line for the EU marketplace is how we will achieve that.
How has your brand evolved in the snowboard boot category over the past few years?
We have evolved our sales logic.
Who is your target rider for 26/27, and how has this profile shifted compared to recent seasons?
Our target rider is a mid 20s rider who wants a timeless boot at a great price.
Which boot ranges or categories (freestyle, freeride, all-mountain, beginner) do you expect to drive the most growth in 26/27?
We expect freestyle and beginner to drive the most growth for us.
BOOTS SPECIFIC
Are you introducing any new or innovative materials (outer shell, reinforcement, cushioning, support, grip) in your 26/27 collection?
The newest update to our boot line, is the addition of the H5 Upper Dial on all models. The H5 Dial allows for multi directional adjustments, meaning the rider has a better ability to back of tightness.
What lacing systems will you emphasize in the 26/27 boot line, and why?
We will only be offering BOA lacing systems as we are confident it’s the best option on the market. The addition of the new H5 Upper Dial will be a great update to the BOA system, and we look forward to seeing the marketplaces’ reaction to this new system.
Are you focusing on any customer segments (freeride, freestyle, women’s-specific, youth, entry-level) for 26/27?
We are looking to provide a strong product for riders at every price point with timeless visuals and rider driven performance at the core of these designs. With the addition of the H5 Dial to this year’s collection we are confident we have something for everyone.
