Vans Announces First African Park Series Continental Championships
Vans Park Series have announced the first African Continental Championship. The competitions are open to men and women, giving a clear path to the official Vans Park Series Continental Championships and onto the VPS World Championships. Press Release: VANS SOUTH AFRICA. (Aug 21, 2018) – Vans Park Series, the definitive World Championship park terrain skateboarding competition series for men and women, is proud to announce the very first African Continental Championships
in Cape Town, South Africa. The VPS Africa Continental Championships are now open for registration, providing an official path for regional talent to earn their way onto the official VPS World Tour circuit.

Vans South Africa has partnered up with The Shred to make Cape Town’s first high performance public skate bowl a reality. Skateboarding has seen continuous growth in Africa over the recent years, despite a lack of quality skate facilities and little infrastructure development. The VPS Africa Continental Championships will bring together top skateboarders to compete in an event, that is the first of its kind in Africa.
The VPS Continental Championships are open to all skaters, men and women, meeting proof of regional eligibility and any associated entry fees, providing an official path to the Vans Park Series World Championships and a chance to earn a spot on the 2019 VPS Pro Tour.
