Japan’s Murase Kokomo wins the Women’s Snowboard Big Air Gold Medal
Japan’s Murase Kokomo won the women’s snowboard big air gold medal, upgrading her bronze from four years ago. Murase outperformed a competitive finals field with Zoi Sadowski-Synnott taking second place and teenager Yu Seungeun secured the bronze. Murase, 21, delivered her best jump during her final run, earning her the Olympic Big Air gold to complement her world title. She surpassed defending silver medalist Sadowski-Synnott from New Zealand, who scored 172.25, finishing with a total of 179.00. Sadowski-Synnott had to settle for silver again, and 18-year-old Yu Seungeun from South Korea finished third with a score of 171.00.
