How was 2024 for the hanging shoes market?
Sample N’ Co took over the European distribution of Indosole for 2025. Therefore we can only talk about 2025 and beyond.
What are the current trends in hanging shoes?
The slides sandals continues to be a serious trend in the hanging shoe market. Slide and Cross models are filling that market position for us. The slide is more of a feminine look declined in 12 colorway while the cross available in 9 colorways. is totally unisex. Flip flops remains a solid basic for our market and is engraved in the Indosole DNA. We propose 2 different styles : the Essntls classics (unisex) and available in 10 different colorways and the Easy Living available in 12 different colorways. Platforms are also a big trend for a more women fashion / lifestyle look. We propose Flipflops, cross and slides all of them declined in 4 colorways
What new styles and shapes are you offering in 2025?
For 2025 we are launching a new version of the Easy Living, a fun an easy sandal for everydayleaving, featuring a 100ù recycled Nylon straps along with our signature tires recycled soles. We are also implementing our collab programs with entities that shares common ecological and social values.
Handep Collaboration:
Handep is a social enterprise and craft-basedbrand that works with indigenous communities to createa sustainable village economy. The name handep is borrowed from the dayak ngaju dialect, which has a whole means the spirit of working together and helping eachother as a family or community. The sandals are made by hand from local people of Kalimantan forests to help enhance local food security, re-value and preserve forests, and support economic development.
Pable Collaboration:
Pable is here to provide solutions related to the problem of textile waste generated by the fashion industry. A circular approach where all fabrics are made from 100% recycled cotton. combined with our recycled ruber outsoles, we provide options naturaly dyed with indigo and Ketapang to add some color pop.
Sungai Watch:
Our partnership with Sungai Watch, a dedicated environmental initiative committed to cleaning uprivers in indonesia. Through community-driven clean-up efforts and advocacy, Sungai Watch raises awareness about river pollution and works towards sustainable solutions for cleaner waterways. The Midsole of the this sandals is 100% recycled plastic collected from bali rivers by Sungai Watch and Insdosole off cuts.
Project Zindagi:
The ZINDAGI PROJECT is a transformativeinitiative that symbolizes life, utilizing the richcultural heritage of Pakistan by empoweringrefugee women through artisanalcraftsmanship. In Urdu, Zindagi translates to“Life”, encapsulating the essence of the project.Refugee women are engaged in craftingproducts, embodying resilience and skill.The project’s mission, encapsulated in thetagline “Fashioning Hope, Empowering Lives:Weaving a Tapestry of Cultural Sustainabilitythrough Refugee Artisanship”, underscores itscommitment to not only providing economicopportunities but also preserving andcelebrating cultural traditions.Through the creation of unique and meaningfulproducts, the ZINDAGI PROJECT aims tocontribute to the cultural sustainability andempowerment of these women, fostering asense of hope and dignitiy in their lives.
What materials and construction techniques are you using in your 2025 collection?
As pioneers in recycled footwear design it is our mission to take what we have created and pass it on to the next generation of fashion enthusiasts. Transparency in processes and well chosen materials are the true benchmark of sustainability. Together, we may inspire ahigher consciousness for recycled products and environmental action. Therefore all of our soles are made of recycled materials as recycled tires or recycled sneakers. our footbeds are made of natural rubber and straps of 100% recycled nylon.
What colours and prints are you offering in 2025?
We like to play on natural colour , soil, black grey, rust, olive, mustards. For the bright side we added a rainbow straps on our new easy living model and abit of puple haze for some femnin touch.
Anything new in terms of sustainability?
The entire brand is based on sustainainility weither if I is environmental our social. We aim to reduce pollution fostering circular economy while involving communities for a better living.
Please tell us about your key marketing stories for hanging shoes for 2025?
Our main goal is to explain the general concept of the brand and to really point out the sustainable conceptuion of our product. For 2025 we will focus on the new rainbow colorway of the Easy Living model and will push our collab marketing stories such as the Pable Collaboration and Sungai Watch collab.
How are you helping retailers sell this category?
We will provide POS explaining how the product are made, the sourcing of the material and the commitment of the brand on the sustainability. We are also developpin special displays to present the product accordingly in the retail floor space. Commercially, Sample N’Co is able to provide commercial conditions combined with different other products categories, helping the retailer to reach easily the discount for volume order, that way the retailer can have better margins on several type of products juggling with his needs and sellthru.
