What is the overall theme behind your 2023/24 outerwear range? From which big trends do you take your inspiration?

Our 2023/24 outerwear range is taking inspiration from organic, rounder shaped products. Our Oakley Heritage also plays into this organic direction. THE GREAT DISCOVERY is our brand story/overall theme this season. This is our quest that celebrates community, empowerment and belonging. We will embrace individuality and transform humankind through sport.

What new fits / silhouettes are coming out in 2023/24? What pant and jacket styles are most important in your range?

With the continued success of the Men’s ThermoNuclearProtection TBT Anorak and Insulated Jackets we have decided to extend the offering to the women’s line. We are also introducing a new parka, the KORA INSULATED PARKA with a feminine silhouette and complemented by thoughtful features and details like inner sherpa lining (collar and jacket facing) that enhance her on-mountain experience.

Regarding bottoms, we are bringing an additional bib style, the TNP SHELL BIB, based on the success of our FW22 softshell bib, and a new 20K insulated pant, the LAUREL INSULATED PANT that has a slim silhouette and high waistband construction.

As we did on the Men side, we are extending our layering offering with technical pieces and off-mountain styles such as the RIFUGIO SHERPA and the TNP EMBER RC. Both styles feature boxy/oversized fit and sherpa construction to offer our Woman consumers a trendy and cozy look when they are at the mountain.

We are launching 2 new puffy styles, 1 jacket and 1 vest that feature Thermore insulation. The AUTUMN RC VEST has been developed in collaboration with Jamie. She is looking for a vest that she can wear over an oversized fleece when she is going to the Snowpark.

Lastly, there is a new women’s specific mitten and pom knitted beanie to complete the looks.

What new colours / prints are you introducing?

Designed in collaboration with Top tier athlete Jamie Anderson, we are bringing to the Woman collection a new animal print, looked through the eyes of Jamie, with a mix of tie-die & Coachella vibes, representing the duality of Fear & Dreams, Predator and peace. In our colourcard we are keeping some of our CORE colorways in the line like Blackout, Arctic White, and we are bringing softer shades with Hummus, Carafe, Sage Green and Soft Orange, very Nature inspired.

Any *NEW* technical stories with regards to fabrics and materials?

We continue our commitment to develop more sustainably sourced and recycled materials and have increased our percentage of sustainable materials for Fall 23 collection across all verticals. Most notably, we have increased commitment to sustainability in the snow category with the Team Collection. For Fall 23 all 20K Shell pieces are produced with Bio Earth materials. Bio-Earth collection is modified by organic compounds to enhance the biodegradation of our products in a biologically active landfill and is tested no harmful substances being released to the environment.

What are your top marketing stories for 2023/24? This will help us to put some focus in the right place

Our objective is to reinforce our innovation and sport credentials, as well as broaden up in more snow disciplines, through the lens of our athletes. We have a unique relationship with the world’s best athletes who give personalized input into the collection design and help us create the best products for our sport-focused consumers, therefore in 2023 we will tell these stories while also, fostering sense of community in an Oakley way.

Our Legendary 3M® Thinsulate™, FN Dry™ 10K laminate, and advanced stretch fabrication TNP Insulated Anorak is now available for our Woman consumers. The Anorak has a feminine silhouette and TNP color blocking and features OProtect DWR coating, critically taped seams and a central kangaroo pocket with flap closure and zippered pockets on each side.
