How was 2024 for the hanging shoes market?
2024 saw growth for XTRATUF as whole and in turn, for our range of hanging shoes. We continue to look for new retailer and distributor partners in the UK and across Europe, who share our brand vision and values.
What are the current trends in hanging shoes?
Sustainability! Which is a top priority for us! Our customers continually inspire us to enhance our sustainable practices, and we truly appreciate their support. We are always seeking new ways to improve—whether it’s through our products, packaging, point-of-sale materials, events, or any other aspect of our business.
What new styles and shapes are you offering in 2025?
In the UK, the Apres Fish slide remains our only product in this category, we have new colours coming for Spring / Summer 2025. In the US, the Riptide sandal (introduced in SS24) range has expanded to include a kids version.
What materials and construction techniques are you using in your 2025 collection?
We continue to use our proprietary BIO LITE EVA foam. BIO LITE has been granted a Green Leaf certificate by Intertek, an accredited independent Third-Party testing facility, verifying that this product will properly biodegrade in bioreactor landfills
What colours and prints are you offering in 2025?
The Apres Fish range for SS25 will include an all Black and ‘Stormy Blue’ for men. The women’s range will include a tie-dye Pink & a plain ‘Sand’ and with the introduction of ‘Aqua’ for the 2025 season
Anything new in terms of sustainability?
Our Product Development team are constantly looking for ways to infuse more sustainable, environmentally friendly materials into future product, trialling new materials across our range including bio-based TPUs, recycled webbings and Oceaya.
Please tell us about your key marketing stories for hanging shoes for 2025
Our BIO LITE story will remain at the heart of our marketing campaign. Not only does this make our Après Fish a more sustainable choice, but it also floats—perfect for those accidental slips into the ocean! Once again, we’re proud to support RNLI Lifeguards by providing a custom red and yellow version of the Après Fish slider. This partnership not only brings our brand to life on the beach—where XTRATUF truly belongs—but also helps raise essential funds for the RNLI, as we donate £1 per pair of our lifestyle range sold.
How are you helping retailers sell this category?
We collaborate closely with retailers, as building a network of like-minded partners is essential to us. Our goal is to provide support wherever possible—not only to drive product sell-through but also to ensure our retailers’ success. We continue to offer POS solutions, product and lifestyle imagery, and brand assets to help bring our brand to life in-store.
