2025 has been a strong year for Mundaka Optic, with consistent growth across Europe and solid retailer support. Both our sport and lifestyle segments performed well, confirming Mundaka’s reputation for durable, high-quality eyewear designed for active users and outdoor lifestyles.
What are the key trends in sunglasses for board sports for Spring/Summer 2026?
Board sports consumers are looking for sunglasses that blend technical performance and lifestyle appeal. Lightweight, polarized lenses, sustainable materials, and clean, timeless silhouettes dominate. Designs that move easily from surf to city remain key.
Which segment of your 2025 offering is selling best and why?
Our Sport Collection continues to perform best, appreciated for its comfort, lightness, and reliability in extreme conditions. At the same time, our Bio Acetate line resonates with environmentally conscious customers seeking both fashion and function.
What frame shapes and colours will you offer in your SS26 collection?
For SS26, we focus on sleek, balanced silhouettes — round, rectangular and wrap styles — in natural tones, matte finishes and subtle transparencies inspired by the ocean and mountain landscapes that define the Mundaka spirit.
What materials are you using in your SS26 collection?
We continue to work with Grilamid TR90 for our performance models and Bio Acetate for our lifestyle range. All Mundaka lenses are made from polarized polycarbonate, offering higher optical quality, impact resistance and clarity than standard TAC lenses.
What lens technologies will you offer in your SS26 collection?
Our lenses are polarized polycarbonate, providing 100% UV protection, glare reduction and optical precision. Selected styles include anti-reflective and hydrophobic coatings, ensuring performance on water, snow and road.
Which lens colours and tints will you be offering in SS26?
Core tints include smoke, brown and green, complemented by mirror finishes such as blue, silver and red for enhanced contrast and a modern look.
Any new sustainable practices in your production and shipping processes?
Mundaka continues to expand the use of bio-based materials and FSC-certified recycled packaging. We optimize shipment volumes and rely on European warehousing to reduce our carbon footprint.
